3-Peepal Twig Ceremony A sacred twig from the Peepal tree is placed in the child’s hand. It symbolizes the entry into Brahmacharya-the life of discipline and learning. The Peepal is no ordinary tree-Brahma, Vishnu, and Rudra reside in it.
