1.Tithi – The Lunar Day. A Tithi marks the angle between the Sun and Moon. There are 30 Tithis in a lunar month. Each one carries a unique energy-some auspicious, some for rest, others for action. It governs rituals, fasts, and spiritual activities.

2. Vaar – The Weekday . The 7 Vaars (days) aren’t random-they’re ruled by celestial beings: Ravivar (Sun) Somvar (Moon) Mangalvar (Mars) Budhvar (Mercury) Guruvar (Jupiter) Shukravar (Venus) Shanivar (Saturn) Each Vaar impacts your mood, work & destiny.

3. Nakshatra –Lunar Constellations. There are 27 Nakshatras-stellar mansions the Moon passes through monthly. Each Nakshatra shapes your mental nature, inner instincts, & key life traits. Used in matchmaking, rituals, and Vedic astrology. They are the backbone of Jyotish Shastra.

4. Yoga –Celestial Union. 27 Yogas are formed by the angular sum of the Sun and Moon’s positions. Each Yoga bestows a specific quality to the day-some elevate clarity, others create tension or bliss. It guides when to begin, wait, or transform.

5. Karana –Half of a Tithi. A Karana is one half of a Tithi (6° separation between Sun & Moon). There are 11 Karanas repeated cyclically. They define the action-oriented nature of the day: stability, movement, success, or caution.

6. Why is Panchang important? Unlike mechanical calendars, Panchang aligns you with the pulse of the cosmos. It’s used for: Rituals & Muhurtas Marriage, travel, agriculture Yoga, meditation & mantra It’s a cosmic compass.
