@robkhenderson I grew up in a wealthy Boston suburb and I know so many people exactly like this. They are always the most vocal and bitter.

@robkhenderson Wow I didn’t realize work has been done in this. I noticed some years ago that woke is likely due to the death of the American dream. People born to middle class families that cannot do as well as their parents but want to hold onto the status.

@robkhenderson They aren’t necessarily downwardly mobile for lack of merit, but because systemic problems make it impossible to maintain the standard of living they deserve relative to their education, real expertise, or sense of social responsibility relative to those in power.
