The oil that beats Advil for inflammation… and why you don’t know about it. Used for over 3000 years but forgotten by modern medicine. Here’s what makes it so effective, and why it matters: 🧵

The oil is called black seed oil. It’s extracted from the seeds of Nigella sativa, a plant used in traditional medicine for centuries. Its key compound, thymoquinone, targets inflammation and immune dysfunction. But here’s where it gets wild…

Research shows black seed oil may help with: • Asthma • Autoimmune conditions • Skin inflammation • Diabetes • Brain fog • Even some types of cancer How does one oil do all that? It comes down to one thing: inflammation.

Chronic inflammation is the silent root of many modern illnesses. Black seed oil helps by: • Lowering IL-6 (a key inflammation marker) • Raising interferon (fights viruses) It calms the immune system without shutting it down. Making it great for autoimmune issues.

It also boosts T-regulatory cells, the peacekeepers of your immune system. These cells help stop autoimmune flare-ups by telling your immune system to stand down when it overreacts. This balance is what makes black seed oil so effective. But it doesn’t stop at inflammation…

Black seed oil also supports blood sugar control and improves insulin sensitivity. It strengthens the pancreas’ beta cells, which produce insulin. This helps lower A1C levels and reverse insulin resistance. As a result, it may also aid in weight management.

Black seed oil also supports brain health. It increases acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter behind: • Memory • Focus • Learning This makes it helpful for brain fog and age-related cognitive decline. But here’s the twist…

Black seed oil isn’t a cure. It’s a tool that helps manage symptoms. But if you don’t address the root cause, the effects may not last. Still, it’s safe, affordable, and effective. Here’s how to use it for best results:

@dr_ericberg Thought seed oils were bad?

@MAGAHeartland I recommend black seed oil. Black seed oil doesn’t come from the same kind of plant as typical "seed oils" like sunflower, canola, or soybean oil. Black seed oil is extracted from the seeds of Nigella sativa, a plant native to Southeast Asia.

@dr_ericberg Your thread is very popular today! #TopUnroll https://threadreaderapp.com/th... 🙏🏼@craigameyer for 🥇unroll

@dr_ericberg All this is good information but we need the resources to find quality products that you would recommend this preventing wasting money on bogus and unsafe items. Can you please start a list of what you recommend?

@dr_ericberg @1Nomad I always research claims on homeopathic and alternative medicines. I looked this up. This preventative medicine specialist, Dr. Saper, MD, with The Cleveland Clinic, shares necessary information about black seed oil, certain health conditions, and who should not take it.

@dr_ericberg Maybe that oil was used where those flowers are growing, but it wasn't used globally. There are local medicines that people knew about and used. Only in the last 30-50 years people know about Advil/ibuprofen but not the natural medicine. The most potent pain/inflammation

@dr_ericberg I rarely get a headache, but on those rare occasions, I just take *extra turmeric* ❤️

@dr_ericberg I thought seed oils are bad. 🤔🧐

@dr_ericberg Black seed oil cures all diseases except death!

@dr_ericberg Where do we find black seed oil?

@dr_ericberg Very difficult to find pure black seed oil.

@dr_ericberg I love this oil.🥰 Four years ago after month of using, i think it removed biofilms from my gut.👌🥳🤔

@dr_ericberg I found some gelcaps of oil of oregano with black seed oil. 'Apparently' they work hand in hand to increase their effect respectively. So far so good, 2 months in

@dr_ericberg You just need a dose of egg yolk daily and 30 minutes of sunshine ☀️ per week No need for all these pills

@dr_ericberg I bought some black seed oil and tried mixing it in my salad dressing, but it is so horrible tasting. I can’t tolerate it. I’m going to rub it on topically. I just wanted to say I’ve been following your healthy keto for 2 1/2 years and it’s changed my life for the better thank

@dr_ericberg Capsules ok?

@dr_ericberg Can be taken easily with a bit of honey to counter the bitterness.

@dr_ericberg Nice. Another ancient tool for the toolkit. Thanks

@dr_ericberg Are the supplements as effective or do we need to take the oil itself? Thank you

@dr_ericberg Thanks Dr Berg! I love natural remedies!

@dr_ericberg Sounds intriguing! Could be referring to something like frankincense (Boswellia) or turmeric oil both ancient, powerful anti inflammatories often overlooked today.

@dr_ericberg I have Black Seed,Coconut & Castor Oil & Hydrogen Peroxide. I have been enduring intense pain in my right leg down to my knee. Moderate Back pain. Sciatica?? What do you recommend? Have been trying everything above, but not consistently. Been eating Motrin with little success

@dr_ericberg ... I haven't touched that garbage in over 30 years, advil, tylenol etc... none of it. Thank you for this information Dr. Berg, it's extremely helpful.
