Many assume that any retraction/apology is necessarily a concession to leftist enemies. This has often been the case, and I understand the concern. Absent a direct personal wrong, one should never apologize to bad-faith critics. But dynamics are different in our own

@NateAFischer This was pushed by woke gossips.

@DissidentSoaps They weren’t the ones we cared about, and we have a long record of rejecting attacks merely grounded in concerns of the left.

@NateAFischer What did the anonymous author post in the past that supposedly warranted all this? It's not mentioned, which is itself a red flag.

@seanrcallaghan The point isn’t to put him on blast. He was coming from outside typical AmRef orbit, and AmRef didn’t adequately communicate its standards.

@NateAFischer We consider it a concession because it was a direct response to demands for concession by leftist enemies. Amref made a mistake publishing someone they normally wouldn’t want to publish. And multiplied it 10x. Because now friends and enemies know they fold easily.

@NateAFischer “Community” is fem centric language. A magazine publishes articles for discussion, the ideas stand or fall on their own. This was a weak move.

@NateAFischer Thank you for weighing in and the clarity on this. You guys had to make a decision and I respect the one you made. Those who are frustrated about it or on my behalf I simply ask to keep your criticisms respectful. The people at AmRef are all very good people and did what they

@NateAFischer Very well said.

@NateAFischer You have learned nothing from the past 10 years. You play in your enemy's frame and you lose. Don't mistake this for anything else.

@NateAFischer The mistake was retracting the article.

@NateAFischer This is one of the reasons why I respect those associated with AmRef I’ve found the right’s new-found refusal to retract or apologize for anything similar to many other non-thinking notions: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” “You know you’re over the target when they’re

@NateAFischer That’s all well and good and absolutely, we should have standards. But once you’ve already allowed him even if you shouldn’t have in the first place, you can’t retract at that point from specifically left wing pressure. All you are doing is emboldening them to continue to dig

@NateAFischer Thank you brother. It is a good example.

@NateAFischer We’ll see! Putting down a marker if this doesn’t work out as you’d hoped. You’re welcome to remind me if it does. Just saying if a spotless record of Christian decorum were the overriding criteria I don’t think I’d start my ministry with young fishermen. The Trump critiques

@NateAFischer No. It was weak.

@NateAFischer Well said.

@NateAFischer Man when the next Am Reformer scandal breaks it is going to be so juicy. So righteous, so high and mighty. Worried you're losing your influence to upstarts, dissidents, and anons? Maybe drop the gatekeeping and ask why it's happening.

@NateAFischer Appropriate apologies are good. Repentance and turning are also needed from leadership. Contrast that with silence from the covid debacle when we categorize our sin with "we all did the best we could" One facilitates confidence the other a rightful mistrust.

@NateAFischer A just apology is a powerful statement of trust and humility that supersedes any accusation of “weakness.”

@NateAFischer there's a lack of diligence on the part of @AmReformer to solicit the contribution of an author they hadn't vetted, lacked familiarity with, and didn't bother to explain to him what the ground rules for publication and public etiquette were upfront.

@NateAFischer You caved. You'll be as leftist as national review in a few years.

@NateAFischer By the way, this is disgusting. You will pull an article by a Christian but leave up Lindsay, an open atheist who boasts about checking out girls with his daughter. You have no principles.

@NateAFischer @TheWorthyHouse When you’re on the same side as Wasson it’s time to reconsider.

@NateAFischer Eli McGowan has one of the worst accounts on Twitter

@NateAFischer Yea but the coalition is weak and gay. No more of this foolish behavior. If your countersignaling the actual movers, which is still largely anons; you will be marked. You will be dealt with. You won't survive it.
