@notjasond100 I'm confused? How is sewer socialism racist? Also one of those pictures is about someone reflecting on their prior racism? I don't get the point you're making. If I'm just ignorant could you explain?

@AnneToasty they arent reflecting on their racism. they are justifying a slur used on romani people because no one can hear. sewer socialist a pejorative for socialists who dont call themselves one because they are too scared. they just have “honest politics and empathy”. it means soc dem.

@AnneToasty you know what. i think youre right /srs. i think i personally just dont like anecdotes of former racism. but youre right i think its closer to reflecting and why one took a shorter amount of time than the other. also please read a different article than wikipedia im begging.

@notjasond100 Aight thanks for clearing up the confusion then. I'm also on mobile rn and refuse to pay for Twitter so I didn't want to use any overly long links and couldn't do a deep dive without it being a pain in the butt.

@AnneToasty yea for sure sometimes in the middle of a lot of hate you can misinterpret what someone is trying to say and i like to give benefit of the doubt regardless. so in a case like this its easier for me to drop the idea they were trying to be.

@notjasond100 The situation is very emotionally charged and for good reason. That means we have to be extra careful to not unintentionally dilute productive critique with outrage, even if the outrage originally comes from a valid source.
