If I were obese and slowly dying… Here’s exactly how I’d lose weight fast. → No Ozempic → No fad diets → No cookie-cutter workouts Just science-backed strategies that actually work. Most weight loss advice is garbage. This isn’t. 🧵

1. Temperature Manipulation Cold exposure triggers fat-burning brown fat. → Cold showers can boost calorie burn by up to 30% Heat works too. → Sauna use reduces body fat, aids recovery & heart health. Use both. It’s metabolic gold.

2. Heal Your Gut First Your gut controls hormones, hunger & fat storage. → Lactobacillus gasseri can reduce belly fat → Prebiotic fiber feeds weight-loss-friendly bacteria Fix your gut, and fat loss gets easier.

3. Use Hormetic Stress Small stressors = big fat loss. → Hypoxic (low-oxygen) training burns more fat → Compounds like resveratrol & sulforaphane boost metabolism Train your body to adapt and burn.

4. Protein = Priority Eat 1.6–2.2g protein/kg body weight. Why? → Muscle gain → Satiety → Fat-burning Best sources: fish, eggs, chicken, Greek yogurt. Protein is your weight loss foundation.

5. Portion Control Without Counting No need to obsess over calories. → Use smaller plates → Fill half with veggies → Add lean protein & complex carbs Visual balance > calorie math.

6. Increase Fiber Fiber fills you up without calories. → Fruits → Veggies → Whole grains It blunts cravings, supports gut health & regulates appetite. Most people are severely fiber deficient.

7. Hydration = Hunger Control You’re not hungry—you’re probably thirsty. → Drink a glass of water before meals → It reduces cravings and boosts fat metabolism Hydration is one of the easiest fixes.

8. Sleep = Fat Loss Weapon Sleep less than 7 hrs? You’ll crave junk. → Lack of sleep increases ghrelin (hunger hormone) → It also raises cortisol (stress) Prioritize 7–9 hours nightly. It’s non-negotiable.

9. Cut Sugar & Processed Junk Weight loss starts with subtraction. → Eliminate soda, chips, pastries, frozen meals → Replace with real, nutrient-dense food Whole food > low-fat, low-carb fads.

10. Move More Without "Exercising" NEAT = Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis → Walk after meals → Take stairs → Pace during phone calls The more you move daily, the more fat you burn—without a single rep.

Final Takeaway: Losing weight isn’t about hacks—it’s about habits. → Fix your gut → Prioritize sleep, protein & fiber → Move more, stress less → Eat real food Consistency over time beats any shortcut. Your life depends on it.

@MetabolicFactor Your thread is very popular today! #TopUnroll https://threadreaderapp.com/th... 🙏🏼@mt_apotek for 🥇unroll

@MetabolicFactor @CadioArena Fat loss isn’t about calories — it’s about hormones. 🧬🔥 You can’t outwork a broken metabolism. Weight loss is a gold mine — for the industry, not your health. 💸⚖️ They sell confusion. Real results come from habits, not hacks.

@MetabolicFactor It always comes down to the same basics: eat clean, lift heavy, and get enough high-quality sleep.

@MetabolicFactor You obviously never been fat. All this borders on fantasyland.

@MetabolicFactor “Just eat less and move more”. If this was successful we wouldn’t have the obesity epidemic we see today. These “strategies” are great if you’re already metabolically healthy but do very little for those with insulin resistance/metabolic derangements (which is a factor for most

@MetabolicFactor You’ve never been morbidly obese. I have been. GLP is what works, tirz or reta. It’s that simple. Unfortunately nothing else works *long term* for massive weight loss (over 100 lbs).

@MetabolicFactor I weighed a bit over 300 pounds, female, 5'2". I had bariatric surgery in 2000. I lost about 200 pounds in a year. I changed my way of life. I changed my diet. I changed the way I ate- small bites, lots of chewing. No sugar, protein first, little carbs. I am still 110 pounds!

@MetabolicFactor I don’t dispute your science, but I don’t think fat people see the world the way you do. It is like “I’m not dumb, but if I were dumb, these are the 9 things I’d do to get smarter.”

@MetabolicFactor You’re suggesting like 20 things people would have to be disciplined about…or … they could just get a shot every week and watch the weight fall off. I recommend they get the shot and then after they are at their desired weight, they can maintain a program like you suggest a

@MetabolicFactor Eat clean. Move daily. Sleep well. It’s simple, you just need discipline.

@MetabolicFactor How would you overcome whatever mental/physiological defect that initially caused the morbid obesity?

@MetabolicFactor You claim science-backed, but don’t include a single link to peer reviewed papers.

@MetabolicFactor You have no idea though...

@MetabolicFactor Most people are way too lazy to do that. They want to lose weight by doing everything, EXCEPT, eat right and exercise

@MetabolicFactor I'll just use ozempic thank you very much

@MetabolicFactor We’re all slowly dying, eat the fucking pizza

@MetabolicFactor seems that many with a fat problem eat to much ready made processed food that comes in shiney packets

@MetabolicFactor Ya, just take tirzepatide. If humans were good at following this advice….we wouldn’t need this advice….

@MetabolicFactor Or just be active and stop making food part of your personality 🤷‍♂️

@MetabolicFactor this shit isnt complicated. just eat less calories than is required to stay at your current weight. calculate your maintenance callories based on height and weight. make sure u eat less than that and count your calories. do that every single day and u will lose weight

@MetabolicFactor Horrific advice to keep fat people fat. It’s not voodoo and cold plunges. You must eat less. Heal your gut and cold plunges? Retarded.

@MetabolicFactor but are you obese, sir? If you are not I do not care to hear 'What you would do.'. You clearly lack this experience and are unable to provide tailored advice to people who developed obesity.

@MetabolicFactor I wont exercise again, look at how ridiculous the skeleton is

@MetabolicFactor @grok summarize this into actionable steps
