The Middle Dnieper (MDC) Variant of the Corded Ware Culture is one of the most unknown and misunderstood. A Common Misconception is that it is one of the oldest CWC groups and the origin of Fatyanovo, this could not be further from the truth:

Most importantly the Middle Dnieper Culture is actually MULTIPLE other Cultures that share very little in common. Therefore, the proposal to split the Upper Dnieper and NN variants into Seperate Cultures, therefore drastically reducing the area of the Middle Dnieper culture.
