if you genuinely dont think 18 frames is reactable offline it is legitimately a skill issue
this is about STRIVE i literally couldnt care less about tekken
@VeganTurkey1291 im saying it's objectively very possible yeah, i can say from my own experience it doesn't depend idc if some people can't cas that's not what I'm talking about
@libby_libby_lib Calling it a skill issue is just mean tho… idt I’ll ever expect anyone to react to an 18f OH as genuine counterplay for many reasons. Some people just can’t react that fast and I won’t expect them to. There are too many top players who can’t react to 18f as well.
@Hey_ImFocus that's all true but doesnt really take away from what I'm saying, top players who cant should just work on improving at that
@libby_libby_lib arguing that "im not taking into account things like mental stack or if the first few frames are deceptive" is mad disingenuous when you know damn well the reason behind the "18 frames reactable" debate *was* because of those things.
@GoddammitRodney i have no idea what that debate is about im talking leo and aba who have very clear 18 frame overheads often in situations with little or much slower mental stack, moves in strive pretty much never look deceptive
@libby_libby_lib I think you're ragebaiting but you're unironically right. unless the setup sucks
@AlexiadFG im not ragebaiting😭
@libby_libby_lib Alright I'm lost is this a GGST post cause this would make Tekken players k/ themselves
@DMNG0_twin yes
@libby_libby_lib maybe when you arent a geriatric
@boygirlmegafist reaction times decrease at 0.16-0.2 frames a decade, and there isnt anything significant for a long while jobbers just like having an extra excuse😭
@libby_libby_lib This really does just ignore every other factor in a match that can contribute to not reacting to an overhead. Hell, Fenritti is cracking people over the head in BBCF with a 19 frame overhead (Jin 6A) back to back at the highest level of play.
@CoffeeGoatNao it's just a statement that 18 frames is a reactable window im not trying to refer to anything beyond that
@libby_libby_lib Yes you can react in offline “ practice” .. but even in offline casual matches you won’t be able to react to a 18i move .. which is due to the stress from the match that makes it like 15i move .. stop pretending your a robot and everyone should be the same.
@Kulaib_ disagree because I do it to a high consistency as do many other top players, I'm not saying everyone should be the same im saying it's something pretty much everyone can learn to do
@libby_libby_lib I think it's really difficult to react to correctly, and a lot of people who think they "reacted" actually just guessed right and felt like they reacted because
@bandit_shy it's definitely doable consistently in strive
@libby_libby_lib I think it depends on what the animation of it looks like. Like ABA overhead is 18 frames but the animation is super telegraphed so it’s kinda free to react to meanwhile I’m seeing even top mbtl players get somewhat consistently folded by aoko 4c which is a 22 frame overhead
@chikenfriedfuck ye this is about strive
@libby_libby_lib You've never gotten hit by an overhead offline? Or you just trying to be pedantic about it to sound smart?
@zeth07MF 18 frames is a reactable window is all i said, you cant react to everything people will get hit by 22 frames etc. youre just inventing things i havent said
