Its over 700 -anything over 100 is a clear signal for FluA -just as 1,000 is a clear signal for Covid
Regarding California Migration... yes, its high for August, but not that high as compared to historical averages. (late September is the peak for California migration and peak risk of Avian Flu transfer during drought/heat stress to new herds and reinfecting other herds)
While Colorado is experiencing huge early peaks in migration right now...

@lizditz Sewer shed yes…. But only Palo Alto is active… none of the adjacent sewer sheds. School starts right around the corner. What’s odd is it’s not H1 nor H3 nor H5 Leaving Porcine H2 or H7 or H9 etc…

@JusDayDa Stanford summer camps and programming bring kids aged 14-22 from all over the country via air travel to stay on campus for a few weeks at a time for most of July and August. Those dorms are an incubator for airborne transmission
