@Citrini7 my advice would be, when you need insight on a point-in-time trade, make sure the anon enjoys FPS (def not turn based)
@Citrini7 legendary trade
@Citrini7 Incredible read, subscribing today
@Citrini7 ok I know I already replied ITT but it would be interesting for a cohort analyst type person to look into whether the SVB event and tweeting through it was the start of the s curve for your account obviously the story qualitatively frames SVB/CS as “kicking off the bubble”
@Citrini7 Flipping max long after burying the short is the most impressive part ggwp
@Citrini7 this was very motivational to read cit (in the intellectual sense). mostly because you’re honest and don’t make the thesis+dd+trade into something herculean. stuff like this, written by someone like you, encourages ppl to take their ideas seriously, develop them and act on them
@Citrini7 Hats off. An amazing tale. Thank you.
@Citrini7 I don't know if you've ever taken a hedge, that was meant to be a hedge, off early because you thought it would be some nice PnL...but that's what SVB did. It was pretty clearly driven by greed and hubris. Pulitzer level writing
@Citrini7 Quite a different story.Went short natgas this spring as AI bulls were pushing it up as some kind of macro trade,then went short CRK (natgas shitco).All the gains from my KOLD long are just enough to cover the loss on my natgas shitco short(to the insult CRK is back where it was)
@Citrini7 I still remember the week before the Mar 8th filing when I was tipped off on this by a Lily post. SVB might be the only name I ever short to zero. Sometimes the alpha is knowing who has the alpha.
@Citrini7 Amazing post, fascinating to read.
