I am ethnic Chinese so lets go with Chinese first. It translates more as "Fine, besides you will come back to look for me sooner or later." spoken with the tone of a friend poking fun. It is not spoken with a longing tone that you would expect of lovers.
I am pretty sure even if you don't understand Chinese, the tone spoken here will come off as a friend teasing another friend.
In Japanese... Iuno is presented as a tsundere. "Fine, you will come back crying sooner or later." It has the typical jab that tsunderes will make to anyone. Tsunderes aren't just tsun to who they like (They are just especially prickly to them) they are tsun to everyone
And for Japanese, Augusta refers to Iuno as "親友" (Close friend, Dear friend) again, not something you address you lover as.
For the matter, Lover in Japanese is 恋人 Koibito or 愛人 Aijin. Koibito is used more often than Aijin though. Aijin sounds too much like Chinese
In both cases, it feels more like a conversation among friends rather than as lovers and honestly I pity the daft fools who are picking at crumbs to feed their delusions.
