context: 2 days ago, conan gray released his new album “Wishbone”. it’s mostly about a recent failed ex relationship and was being written for 2 years without anyone knowing. since then, fans have been speculating that the album is about english actor kit connor

in the song “Actor” conan tells that his ex is a “much better actor” and in the song “Connell”, he alludes to the fact that this so called ex is from london. kit is from london and conan and him both are also friends with actor joe locke (which might explain how they first met)

speaking of the song “Connell”, the song’s title is very similar to connor, kit’s last name. even though this might be purely coincidental, the song ends with the lyrics “connell connell connell con…” (possibly hinting at connor…) not only that but also very surprisingly… ⬇️

kit has mentioned on numerous occasions that Connell from Normal People is the character he most identifies with. the music video for the song “Caramel” has a scene where it references Normal People and conan is visualized as marianne next to corey playing connell.

passing onto our next song: “This Song”. in the lyrics, conan tells that “you joke ‘bout your mother. she can’t help but cry when she hears Elton John” these lyrics may seem random at first but guess who played Elton John when he was little? yes that’s right, kit connor!

speaking of acting roles, kit made his broadway debut as Romeo last year, which shares its name with track 4 on wishbone: “Romeo”. The track references his ex’s “egoistic actor friends”, “cigarettes on his breath” and “his drunken mouth”. kit connor is known to smoke and drink

moving onto “Vodka Cranberry”, conan tells how his ex stole back his t-shirt and polo cap. kit connor is known for his caps and has been seen wearing his polo cap many times. conan and kit has also been spotted wearing the same vintage shirt before. (look carefully at kits shirt)

and this brings us to the next piece of this puzzle: alley rose. if you noticed above, conan was singing “Alley Rose” (track 5 from his previous album Found Heaven) when he was wearing kit’s t-shirt. this is very important for two reasons… ⬇️

1. the song is about when conan got dumped through text by the same ex when he was going to london to see him. 2. alley rose was released on march 8th, the very same day kit connor was born! moving on…

on the song “Sunset Tower”, conan mentions that his ex is back in the city and how he feels like total shit walking past the tower hotel (where he used to pick him up after shooting all day) kit stayed in sunset tower during 2023 and he attended a premiere there earlier this year

and on our final song “Care”, conan mentions that “Charlie went to your show….” Charlie is the name of Nick’s (played by kit connor) love interest in the netflix show, heartstopper.
