all the stock ideas definitely come from any form of screener that i shared in my thread. it's not pick out randomly from twitter post or anywhere. it's a very consistent routine and process of screening, and watchlist management.
@jfsrev Jeff - take a look at $FIX 694.00
@Borg74 it did not pass my share volume cut off. the spread is wide. spread is cost u pay to execute a trade, it adds to your nett R.
@jfsrev Is your main criterion for separating RVOL and non-RVOL based on liquidity? And roughly how much liquidity do you usually look for when considering a stock as non-RVOL?
@Momentumreader high and constant liquidity. at least $1B dollar volume average daily. $RIOT and $RGTI is in the list because they have synthetic leveraged ETF to stock itself. so you need to consolidate all those volume in consideration.
@jfsrev why is $RVLV in the focus list? thanks Jeff
@EdBarry4 to be honest u are right that this shouldn't qualify focus list. i just thought there might be a chance of a gap out of box at pre-market for no reason, so i keep it in my focus list to sort them by RVOL pre-market. just in case
@jfsrev Thoughts on $TME , $VZLA?
@closetothemoney $TME still extended, need more time $VZLA is nice but loose for the last 3 session. I need at least 2 days tightness (expansion happens before contraction). it may be a laggard also if this is under $GDXJ (already broke out)
@jfsrev not sure if you shared before, but do you have a max % allocation per ticker? How about max ATR% before you deem it too volatile to play?
@chartspoop no I don't. we go higher adr% because the allocation of position size will be smaller than lower adr% names
@jfsrev I am surprised none of the Marijuana stocks are in your focus list - Maybe cause of cap - Take a look at $VFF, $MSOS - I vaguely remember reading it's your nemesis ticker , is that the reason? :P A lot of names in this space looking fantastic, look at $TLRY and $TCNNF as well
@aperiwal93 impossible i will be looking at $CNBS $MSOS group now. they already moved and still remain extended. any stock that is setting up now are laggard and moving slowly up on sympathy
@jfsrev iirc u moved $STX to stalk list because of declining VARS. is it back to focus due to recent VARS curl up? $MSFD there are already 4-5 down candles in a row into 50MA. is it a concern for u? $UEC? retest of 18Y base prev ATH + 21EMA + 3.5 ATRx + VARS somewhat uptrend. need base?
@jqchews 1. $STX VARS curl up since 15/8, that's also a full week of price action building right beneath the pivot above 10 and 20-MA. 2. $MSFD did not trigger, but looks better now after yesterday isn't it? 3. $UEC, without the benefit of hindsight from today's move, $UEC rested right
@jfsrev Thanks a bunch Jeff. Could you share a bit more on your approach towards reentry after hitting stops? Thinking of BMNR as an example, considering ETH still looks strong.
@jeffrey9494 im looking at $BMNR for a @OliverKell_ style wedge pop breakout with heightened RVOL
@jfsrev For your RVOL required list, I understand you’re looking for confirmation of the move from high RVOL after market open. What signs are you looking for in your non-RVOL lists? Thanks Jeff!
@getrichdieyoung non-RVOL i looking for entry based on post open 30min ORH at 60% LoD of ATR. I usually go for the one with severely lowest % LoD at trigger, if hypothetically 10 triggers right the same time. btw, i only open 3 position max a day. I roll my exposure progressively if market do
@jfsrev Is BROS and SHOP kind of delayed EP plays?
@jacquesmoller yes
@jfsrev When you mention Non-RVOL required, you are still looking for above average run-rate, correct? Or purely technical action?
@RileyR58023 just technical and spread for execution (i will forgo etf trade if spread is not tight because it will cut any of my 3 level stops easily since i trade tight on ATR). so volume plays a part indirectly
