The most powerful detox tool in the world: Activated Charcoal. 99% of people ignore it… But this ancient black powder has been used for centuries to pull poisons from the body. Here’s what it is, how it works, and how to use it:

1. What It Is Activated charcoal isn’t the same stuff you use for grilling. It’s made by heating natural carbon-rich materials (like coconut shells or hardwood) at high temps. Then “activating” it to create millions of tiny pores. Those pores trap toxins like a sponge.

2. Why It Works Activated charcoal works through adsorption (not absorption): It binds to toxins, chemicals, and gases in your gut so they can’t get into your bloodstream. Used in hospitals for overdoses. Used by biohackers for detox.

3. Benefits That Matter You won’t feel “stimulated”—but you’ll feel cleaner. Real benefits include: • Reduces gas & bloating • Helps clear brain fog • May bind mold toxins (mycotoxins) • Supports gut health after junk food or alcohol • Emergency use for food poisoning

4. The Gut Reset Effect One of the biggest wins? It can calm digestive chaos FAST. • Traps bad bacteria • Clears out chemicals from processed food • Helps restore balance in the gut microbiome Great tool after a sketchy meal or night of drinking.

5. How to Use It Right This isn’t a daily vitamin. Use it as needed, like a reset button: • 500–1000mg with lots of water • Best on an empty stomach • Wait at least 2 hours before or after other meds/supplements Pro tip: Take it before bed if you’re detoxing.

6. Be Smart About It It’s powerful—so don’t overdo it. • Don’t mix with meds (it can block them) • Don’t take daily (it can bind nutrients too) • Don’t use if you’re constipated (it needs to leave your body) And always drink more water than you think you need.

The Bottom Line Activated charcoal is one of the most underrated health tools: • Cheap • Powerful • Versatile Great for gut health, detox, and energy—when used right.

@joeyyochheim Very interesting- haven’t heard of this.

@joeyyochheim I use it in homemade toothpaste! The activated charcoal really whitens your teeth. But don’t use it daily. 2tbsp coconut oil, 2tbsp baking soda, 1/4tsp activated charcoal. 😁

@joeyyochheim It’s so cheap, effective and harmless that it’s not even sold in US pharmacies. Very common in Ukraine. I’ve been using it all my life. Helps with any intoxication, prevents hangover.

@joeyyochheim I use it when anyone in my family has a stomach issue, always clears out very quickly!

@joeyyochheim For gas and swelling, 500 mg of pre-food activated carbon reduces post-prandial flatulence!

@joeyyochheim charcoal sounds like witchcraft until your gut says thanks

@joeyyochheim use it to filter your cooking and drinking water as well because we firefighters have fluorinated the planet with firefighting foam. MILLIONS of gallons over the past 50+ years... research "AFFF". it's still everywhere we sprayed it...

@joeyyochheim Good stuff here Joey! He's right folks. I keep a bottle around and always take it with me when traveling since eating out more often. It'll knock out a bad meal in no time! I don't take it frequently just if I think I've gotten some bad food. Definitely works!

@joeyyochheim Tried an activated charcoal mask and my skin never felt fresher! ✨ Loving these ancient beauty hacks that still deliver serious glow.

@joeyyochheim If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. 99% of people ignore this stuff because it’s most likely BS🤣. If it worked people would already know about it. Disclaimer: I actually don’t know anything about “activated charcoal.” But based on how things are
