Just a heads up to anyone playing Crossworlds early, before the Network test: 🧵 1. 100% Uninstall all your mods, UE4SS is a mod and might get you banned once servers are up. Since we have no clue how Sega will handle mods since this is an Online focused game. 2. Delete your-

save data. Eula clearly states that modifying your save file will result in your license to the game being revoked. Not best to mess around with that. 3. Disable Steam cloud saves, very important otherwise it will backup your save and get you banned. That's all I think

Oh and to add on. Don't even think about putting your save data back once the game releases. It's illogical, and Sega says it won't work anyways

Do add on even more to the thread. Double check that %appdata%/Roaming/Sega/SonicRacingCrossworldsONT/ doesn't exist after uninstalling the game or have any files under the steam/[your steam id]/ in that same folder And to rephrase myself, the caution with having your file-

Backed up on Steam Cloud is if incase Steam decided to re-download your save, overwrite your save with your modded save, which could get you banned As long as cloud is turned off for your first boot into the online servers, you're good! You can enable it again after logging in.

For those who want to know how to play the game early, I've dropped a full guide. Not gatekeeping anything. Enjoy! https://x.com/NockCS/status/19...

@NockCS People should have just waited and not modded this game. I’ll laugh to anyone that gets banned cause they were asking for it.

@TiM0TARiUS What do you think this guide is for. This is pretty easy to do even tho the guide makes it sound complicated. You're just uninstalling and re-installing the game

@NockCS so i deleted ue4ss, turned off steam cloud and uninstalled the game, what is my next step?

@cryyoutube_ Make sure you have no files in %appdata%/Roaming/Sega/SonicRacingCrossworldsONT/steam/[steam id]/ If there's none, good! Then you can Install the game and wait till the servers open up! If you want to play the game again illegitimately you'll have to uninstall everything again

@NockCS jokes on you im playing it early then moving progress over to the pirated version because im broke

@NockCS Uninstalling, reinstalling, and verifying the game files should do the trick, right? Or just simply removing the ue4ss folder might also work? In case you wanna play again after the beta, I think, you can then put it back. But if you already had cloud saves on, what then?

@kirbyalt45 UE4SS deletion is a must. Very bad idea to load into an Online only game with denuvo with modified files. Save file is a grey area. I only suggest it because it ensures you're 100% safe if Sega does decide to start checking save files knowing people played the game early.

@NockCS How exactly would SEGA notice files that are separate from the actual game files though? Savefiles with progress on them when servers go live, sure, but the UE4SS files don’t seem like they would reasonably be an issue, they don’t modify existing files.

@FeoUltima It's not entirely likely. But you think Sega is not gonna try and do something seeing everyone played the game early. Deleting your save is purely precaution to make sure you're 100% safe. There'a barely anything to save and It's not like it'll transfer to the full game anyway

@NockCS Technically disabling cloud save and uninstalling the game would delete the save file as well right?

@PlayzJony I'd assume so if you're extra cautious, just make sure %appdata%/Local/UNION/ doesn't exist or have anything in it once you delete

@NockCS Pretty sure Sega will still be able to see and find the ID of early players. Either way, if people gets banned, it's on them 🤷

@ShawnTails Would Sega care enough is the question They're getting free promotion from people raving about how they got the game early

@NockCS Source: My fucking swampy ass

@OniTakomi Yeah it's a good idea to boot into an online game with denuvo anti tamper with a mod loader, Great idea

@NockCS does this applie only to the people that are playing the locked tracks or to everyone who's playing early?

@Shouker_X This applies to anyone who wants to be 100% sure they won't get banned. Even just playing the first cup you unlock a bunch of things such as your gadgets, car customization, etc. Stuff you wouldn't and shouldn't have minute 1 of the server opening. Just purely precaution

@NockCS Apparently there is also a save data folder in %appdata%/roaming

@KxSilver50 Yeah All Steam Cloud does is upload that file to the cloud so that your save can carry over to other PC's.
