and suddenly gojo’s all smiles and sunshine. long after he’s fully healed, he continues to moan and groan in shoko’s clinic until yuuji pops by for a visit. yuuji, who listens intently when shoko instructs him how to clean, disinfect, bandage wounds.
yuuji, who stays by gojo’s side long after gojo no longer needs him. yuuji, who simply, genuinely enjoys spending time w gojo. yuuji, who often brings food and/or friends w him so that gojo can feel a little less alone.
gojo thinks this is funny, that yuuji would worry about such a thing. bc when he gazes upon yuuji’s warm eyes and traces the scars on his face, holds gently his hand that is two fingers lighter—the signs of his survival not for himself but for others…
he knows: there exists no future where gojo satoru and itadori yuuji aren’t side by side, whether in body or spirit.
