Video of the new Banksy artwork on Palestine Action: It must be a real dilemma for them. It’s worth a fortune and a fantastic tourist attraction, but so politically embarrassing for this dreadful, draconian Labour government.
@WokeratiMarty Safest thing would just remove it immediately tbh
@gonewokee Sounds like they're not even going to preserve it. They're just going to wash it off.
@WokeratiMarty British reality under these new “terrorism laws” designed to protect Israel and cover up the genocide the U.K. is supporting
@WokeratiMarty Dranonian? You sound like Farage
@WokeratiMarty People would probably throw stuff at folks trying to remove the Banksy portrait UK handing down the genocide judgment for Israel did not help
@WokeratiMarty Its a lisited building which is the issue around cutting it out
@WokeratiMarty @pagreen1966 The anti protest laws were the work of the last Tory government signed into being by Mr Charles Windsor.
@WokeratiMarty Except the sign is blank, therefore it's not about Palestine Action, if Banksy wanted it to be about that he could have written it on the sign, the sign is blank.
@WokeratiMarty When was it painted and how? How is it possible to carry this out in this location with the amount of security/cctv scrutiny?
@WokeratiMarty It’s not about the government. In the UK, the judicial system is separate from the government. They may be concerned that the piece is bringing the judiciary into disrepute.
@WokeratiMarty No dilemma, its a publicly owned grade 1 listed building with some graffiti on it. Will be removed within days ans they will likely go after him for the costs.
@WokeratiMarty @MBottroff Absolutely bizarre Labour govt. I can’t make sense of it morally from Australia. It’s unhinged (though the Aust Labor govt position is disastrous in its own way)
@WokeratiMarty @tanita_tikaram Not thinking things through and making it worse. Some kind of 'crime scene tent' would have allowed people to remove it out of view. Two blokes in front of corrugated cladding is a photo op, and needs removing, creating another photo op.
@WokeratiMarty Would it be a criminal offence to destroy or damage a work of art, undoubtably already of great historic and cultural importance, and therefore priceless?
@WokeratiMarty Scared if the truth
@WokeratiMarty They should sell it and give the money to aid agencies
@WokeratiMarty I get the feeling that the next Banksy will include security guards in front of it!! 🤣🤣
@WokeratiMarty It's not got anything to do with Palestine, stop making shit up for likes and clicks.
@WokeratiMarty You hit the nail on the head, it's worth a fortune, hence the steel barrier and security. It'll end up in an art gallery or a private collection. They'll make millions and the only trace will be some new brickwork on the wall.
@WokeratiMarty The liberals are calling Labour draconian. Hilarious. Equally funny are the Hamas terrorist sympathizers that assume this art was for them.
