The NRL is ramping up its attack on New Zealand rugby by drawing up historic plans to play State of Origin games at Eden Park. I know the Warriors play to sold out crowds but surely it’s a stretch by the league journos to suggest “rugby is under siege from rugby league.”

@OBBY001 It’s a stretch for sure but typical language from league journalists pushing the “rugby is dead” narrative. Ratings on Saturday for the respective games will provide proper context.
@OBBY001 certainly a stretch but the nrl assault on nz is real. The nrl have funded academy’s for the warriors on both the north and South Island and have started signing schoolboys to exclusive deals, the nrl w have singed nz 7s and 15s players. Nrl are coming for them
