"ProtonPrivacy - your data is yours..." "Unless a government tells us your account was 'misused' in which case we'll ban it..." If you tout yourself as a privacy company, then act like one. You either care about your users' privacy, or act against them. Can't have it both ways.

@windscribecom oh please you smelled competition blood in the air?

@ProtonVPN That's what they pay me for.

@windscribecom I mean... Read the Windscribe ToS Prohibited Uses. (No5) So if this happened to you, will you not care about your Tos? Or do you say Windscribe is not a privacy company? Another Windscribe L.

@yagizzci Governments tells us to stop doing stuff all the time. We have a page on our website where we disclose how many law enforcement requests we tell to pound sand cause we don't have anything to give them. https://windscribe.com/transpa...

@windscribecom That has nothing to do with privacy. Getting your account banned because you violated TOS does not compromise privacy.

@solisvogel The person reporting this has stated that the mail accounts weren't used for anything malicious, just a few emails to warn the govt that they got hacked. How does this violate Proton's TOS? https://x.com/phrack/status/19...

@windscribecom this has nothing to do with privacy. rare windscribe L

@0xtiago_ People trust the service because they tout privacy. And then they get banned for using the service because a government didn't like how they were using it.

@windscribecom windscribe has entered the chat although idk enough bout yall to make educated comment W for the post enjoy dog

@intheaetherr Oh wow, look at that dog go haha! Nice!

@windscribecom So could I use Windscribe to cause risk to a person? You'd keep my account active? They abused @ProtonPrivacy @ProtonMail and got their account suspended.

@GodsOwnProtoype @ProtonPrivacy @ProtonMail From what I've read, they didn't use Proton to do anything malicious. They used it for communications about what they were doing elsewhere to warn the government. If you use our tools to do malicious things, then yes that's against our ToS. But if you use OTHER tools to do

@windscribecom Chill your beans

@windscribecom 🍿🤨 that's crazyyy @ProtonPrivacy what's your response!!

@windscribecom I have already shifted. Thanks

@windscribecom Imagine getting ratio'd by a Chinese service.

@windscribecom privacy isn’t just a slogan, it’s a principle. Companies can’t claim to protect users while making exceptions that undermine trust. Consistency is key

@windscribecom Fair point—true privacy means standing by users, not making exceptions. Consistency is key if you want to earn real trust in the privacy space

@windscribecom It's been a long time Proton does this. They even disclose it on their website, on the footer with small typo : https://proton.me/legal/transp... That's the thing that I dislike the most with Proton. But at least they are "transparent" about this.

@windscribecom Windscribe is NOT the one to talk at all. You guys got hacked. Try and remember that and also your carelessness before tweeting big words!

@windscribecom And you guys call yourself privacy providers when you are in a five eyes jurisdiction? Smh

@windscribecom I wanted to move, decided last week. Glad this came up, @ProtonPrivacy you are off my list.

@windscribecom So i could do shady shit over your service and you would not bann me? like the same when someone coppyed your app? you clearly are against banning them bc for you its not privacy if the company dissides who gets banned??? Yes that has not thing to do with privacy. Mulvad No1!!!

@windscribecom Ok, guys and "here we go" ) : if I for one break into a military intranet, then 'borrow' launch codes, encrypt whatever else, and then start transferring the 'borrowed' data using your servers, will you cooperate with government agencies to stop me or not?

@windscribecom @mullvadnet I want a VPN but I don’t know which of the three to purchase. Which of you give me free access?

@windscribecom Why does it feel like all privacy focused companies/groups/communities so hostile with each other? This is similar to Graphene OS and /e/ and other Android ROMs 😆

@windscribecom literally this is the only reason why i switched to disroot. i mean, when i started using proton, i was a bit worried thay they were gonna log my ip or something like that. looks like i wasnt wrong.
