@mirage4756 a number of reasons. They are not huge fans of Sci-Fi they like cutesy bubbly characters (Samus aint it) They are not huge fans of FPS games

@kiwitalkz pre-ordering stuff generally isn't as popular in europe as it is in the US, since oftentimes there are discounts shortly after something releases so people rather wait for that. this was dk bananza approx. 16-ish days after release for example.

@kiwitalkz In the UK it’s better to buy it from My Nintendo Store with that sweet deskmat and holographic stickers. That’s where I’ve ordered mine from for that reason, in addition to Amazon never delivering games on release day, despite being a Prime member.

@kiwitalkz At a 30% cut for retailers, 1 Million in sales would generate 42M in revenue assuming a sale price of $60, we know the switch 2 version is selling for $70 so 42M is on the conservative side. Of course the game card and packaging eats into that for physical, but 4.5-5M may be high

@ravenbeak013 I think they will be happy with breaking even with this game, I imagine they are selling amiibo to offset some of the cost. Having it on Switch 1 as well as 2 might be its saving grace.

@kiwitalkz UK is not on the charts because first of all it barely shows up when you search for it, only the switch 1 version shows up and the Amazon pricing is messed up right now, it shows £79 for Metroid Prime 4 (switch 1) which is £30 above the actual retail price.
