Also, some US companies opened offices in Canada as a response: same timezone, easy enough travel, and ability to employ highly skilled folks with more certainty. But that change was not as sudden, and could be planned for.
Investing in Canadian, UK and EU offices to hire globally from will surely happen now for tech companies as a response. Businesses want certainty with their staff, and most are willing to pay a premium for certainty. Right now, in the US, companies would have to pay a premium

@GergelyOrosz I think this will be a disaster for EU and the UK. We are already facing housing, cost of living and immigration crises with less than friendly neighbours. I’m not against immigration, but EU isn’t ready to support it in such a scale.
