The trifecta of the executive, legislative and judiciary seems to be getting more lopsided everywhere. Powerful executives, often which purport to reflect the will of the people and act like change makers, are less and less constrained by the legislative while the judiciary… 1/2
is often on its own trip, deciding when and where it should intervene and how. The result is an institutional imbalance which has served only to worsen public confidence with governments globally. There needs to be some sort of reinvention around how to achieve the right balance.
@Gokul_Sahni This is the natural response to failing legislatures leaving governance to interpretation by disconnected judiciaries. When the electorate is simply told change is impossible, they’ll elect someone who attempts to force the issue. People want their choices to actually matter.
