The ASRock subreddit seems certain that we abandoned this issue. We have about 200 work hours into it now. It's just that there aren't a lot of breadcrumbs to follow here and there haven't been any updates, so tough to nail down an answer.

@GamersNexus I'm still running a 9800X3D with bios 3.10 on an ASRock X670E Pro RS and it has been stable with a mild PBO. I do want to update my bios but I'm worried about this issue. Hopefully you and others can find something, anything.

@GamersNexus Still running 9800X3D with X870E Nova - 3.10 BIOS since last November - no issues so far. Hope that stays this way.

@GamersNexus I think what bugs me the most is people saying ASRock has been crappy with their RMA's. I couldn't even find on their website their standard mobo warranty, wrote them to ask, and they asked where I bought mine, like wtf should where or even if I bought one matter?

@GamersNexus Anecdotally, I spilled a drink on an Asrock motherboard, reused the CPU in a different Asrock board, and it ran fine for a year until abruptly becoming unusable. If the damage is not instantly catastrophic, fixing the bios won't reverse damage done, just like with Intel.

@GamersNexus Voltage issues on the cheapest mobo. Because that's like literally the moto, spend more on the CPU and get the cheapest mobo you can get. I have heard nothing about models of motherboards in the ASRock catalog ever get mentioned

@GamersNexus Geesh and I just received my Asrock B850 Live Mixer yesterday. An Ryzen 7900 non X the previous day. Hope it’s alright. Will have to check the bios version on it.

@GamersNexus Just had my first ever cpu death a month ago. 5950x on an Asrock B550m board. Was running fine for a couple years. Never overclocked. One day it just croaked on me. Never had a cpu die on me in over 30 years of building pcs.

@GamersNexus Might be cumulative damage, with ASRocks speeding up the breakdown. I've had a 7950x3d die out of the blue with an Asus mobo, did use EXPO/XMP but they RMAd it.

@GamersNexus I’ve been having intermittent USB errors in Linux on my ASrock B650m board with a 7950X so I upgraded to 3.40 only to find I could only boot if I cleared the CMOS Even rebooting would get stuck with the CPU and DRAM LEDs lit forever Seems like the mem calibration really sucks

@GamersNexus Are you also considering whether Ryzen Master might have contributed to this issue? There is a new version available, but it would be interesting to investigate any issues caused by the utility. It would be good to examine both versions 2.14.2.3341 and 3.0.0.4199.
