situation now seems to be that one pot of money and data (donors/donations from the original Your Party launch + membership sign-ups/fees from last week's launch) are with MOU, while Your Party Ltd has the original mailing list + new membership sign-ups/fees

other thing of note is the membership form specifies you cannot be a member of another party. this is a strikingly bizarre stipulation for the founding process of what is supposed to be a unity initiative to regroup the fractured british left

this would exclude the thousands of members of Britain's various socialist parties (CPB, SWP, SPEW, CPGB, RCP, etc), as well as the remnants of previous regroupment efforts like Transform and Left unity, and anyone who joined the Greens in frustration over the delays & debacles

most bizarrely, it would exclude anyone involved in the various local community groups which intended to join Your Party, many of which have already registered with the electoral commission. including close allies of Corbyn, such as Alan Gibbons or Pamela Fitzpatrick

it would potentially even exclude Corbyn himself - although i understand that Islington Community Independents has faced severe delays in actually getting round to filing the paperwork with the electoral commission, so perhaps he'd be saved on that technicality
