Johnny 5 unloads 580 cases per hour. DHL now runs 7 robots across three states with nearly 100 trained operators. In May, they signed for 1,000 more units. But the economics reveal something unexpected:

Megan Diveley has loaded trucks in Virginia for 3 years. "I am always peppered with bruises," she told WSJ. Her advice to coworkers: Stay hydrated. Wear steel-toed shoes. This is the job robots are taking over.
