🔥GW6 Wildcard: My Draft🔥 Like many, I’ve hit the wildcard button ahead of GW6, hoping to get my Top 10k hopes back on track🌍 In this thread, I’ll break down my wildcard position by position, explaining my thinking, and key rotation/strategy thoughts👇🏼🧵

🧤The Keepers🧤 In goal, it’s very easy. David Raya is the keeper for the best defence in the league and is locked in my draft 🔒 He’s likely to keep the most clean sheets this season and is fixture-proof, with Arsenal averaging just 0.66 xGC per 90 so far, despite a tough

I don’t hate the Donnarumma pick if you're going with double Arsenal attack instead of defence. However, City are 9th for xGC over the first 5 GWs, and will likely continue to concede chances 💎 That said, Donnarumma is a fantastic shot-stopper and could rack up save points and

🛡️The Backline🛡️ Gabriel (£6.1m), Senesi (£4.8m) and Andersen (£4.5m) are locked on my wildcard 🔒 ✅ Gabriel – same defensive reasoning as Raya, with added aerial threat from set-pieces. I don’t expect any rotation in the league at all. ✅ Senesi & Andersen - DEFCON

The other two defenders are not locked, but have made it into most of my drafts ✅ First is James Tarkowski (£5.5m). He’s a well documented DEFCON monster, with the most DEFCON defender bonus points last season and the bonus in all 5 games in this campaign so far 📈 I’m happy

Chris Richards is my fifth defender and is nailed in a Palace side that are on the longest unbeaten run in English Football, with 17 unbeaten in all comps 🦅 They are solid defensively, and have a few nice fixtures coming up with GW8,10,11 all home games with decent chance at a

As you can see below, the 4 defenders outside of Gabriel rotate well - I’ve got at least two good defensive fixtures each week, which gives me flexibility and strength in depth 📅

From a strategy perspective, the big defence allows me to focus all my energy (and transfers) on my attack and making sure it’s set up well week-on-week 🔋 I should have 2 solid bench options every week, to come on if someone unexpectedly doesn’t start or if I need short-term

🎯 The Midfield 🎯 My midfield includes all four of the template picks: 🔹 Semenyo (£7.8m) 🔹 Ndiaye (£6.5m) 🔹 Bruno Fernandes (£9.0m) 🔹Tijjani Reijnders (£5.7m) The first three are all nailed, on pens, talismanic, no Europe, and have great long-term fixtures ✅ Some

My fourth mid, Tijjani Reijnders (£5.7m), is still one of the best value picks in the game. 💎 He is as nailed in Pep’s side as a midfield gets and loves to make late runs into the box, linking well with Haaland and offering DEFCON potential too🔥 It’s Pep, there WILL be the

My fifth midfielder is Bukayo Saka (£9.8m)🔴 Whether I opt for Saka or Gyokeres is not confirmed, but at the moment I’ve got Saka and I suspect when the deadline comes on Saturday that that won’t have changed 💪🏼 Madueke’s injury makes his minutes better, and I expect him to be

It is likely that Gyokeres get the lions share of the penalties, but I think Saka may get the odd one here and there and I think his open play attacking threat is better than Gyokeres’ 📊 He also gets an extra point for a goal, and an extra point for a clean sheet (which I

⚽️ The Strikers ⚽️ Haaland and João Pedro are my two playing forwards, and are unsurprisingly locked in most people’s GW6 wildcards 🔒 Haaland looks in incredible form and has good fixtures, there’s no reason to go without. João Pedro has had a great start to the season, and

Here are a few of the other players I’m considering👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

🛡️Defenders🛡️ 🔹Virgil – DEFCON magnet in a solid defence, great long-term hold 💪🏼 🔹Muñoz – essentially a midfielder with clean sheets; high attacking upside 🇨🇴 🔹Alderate – best £4.0m IMO. Sunderland look the best defensively of the promoted sides. Mukiele has been good

💥Midfielders💥 🔹Stach – solid 5th mid if you want a bench option and a 3rd playing striker. Nailed, DEFCON, set pieces 🔐 🔹Paquetá – cheap, on pens, great fixtures between GW8–12 📆 🔹Foden – amazing value at £8.0m if he finds his 23/24 form and consistency, but too risky

💫 Forwards 💫 🔹Gyokeres – very good pick, on pens, great fixtures. One of him or Saka will make the team 📈 🔹Foster (£5.0m) – starting striker with some good fixtures (LEE (H) in GW8). Good enabler if you want squeeze Salah in or as an 8th attacking back-up🟣
