1/n visibility is what lets you in the eyes of potential clients Your X account , linkedin account and Github should be all polished with projects good engagements and good network connections If you have good network and connections you are already 1 step ahead .

2/n ICP(ideal customer profile) Targeting the right set of people is as important as anything For me i mostly target founders or sole enterpreeurs the method i use is repetition chain

3/n You have to go to a founder cold dm him i use this weird method i don't write long messages i just send "Yo we build cool shit Portfolio link if you want something lmk"

4/n How to find more founders go to one founder following you will find more founders cold dm them repeat the process for atleast 50 founders a day most prolly 1-2 will reply back

5/n Patience with cold dm is a very rare thing i have seen in people like i used to send almost 50 cold dms daily that is around 1000+ cold dms in a month i used to get 10-15 replies and probably 1-2 good leads

6/n Your portfolio should be really really polished especially when u r into design and frontend stuff Most of my opportunities came to me because of my unique portfolio design one internship was even 600$/ m Any good ui will always bring clients always nobody denies a great looking ui never.

7/n Your first client will probably from your connections , if you are a total beginner then reach out to people who are already into freelance and offer your services take small projects don't think of money My first freelance was 6000 only now i am taking projects in lakhs

8/n Clients get you more clients if your work ethic is great. Make sure your work is top notch If the clients like your work they come to you with more work . So be very very professional .

9/n Reddit an underrated platform My cofounder gets client from reddit only he targets subreddits and try to dm potential clients

10/n Don't waste time on upwork or fiverr they are crowded for beginners and its useless wasting time there. use x reddit , linkedin also works sometimes inbounds lead come in linkedin sometimes

11/n Never shy away from asking money Many people have this inner hesitation of asking money even i had in the beginning , the thing i did is i asked people that were already doing freelance and then get an idea international clients don't take your seriously if you quote less .

12/n Don't work with Indian clients the less they pay the more trouble they give you initially you can take Indian clients but after a time you should target international clients only
