Found a paper that explains mental disorders as the consequence of evolutionary trade-offs where you extremely exaggerating one of the Big Five personality aspects which DOES boosts fitness in some niches but at the cost of severely impairing others.

@nosilverv Maladaptions be real. Flexibility and adaptability wins yet again. Funny that being able to wiggle your personality expression maybe even 20% could be more useful than having it stuck at 80% in some niche category.

@nosilverv It’s a great explanation for depression. Sometimes your environment actually doesn’t have opportunities so don’t try. Especially in winter.
