The Founders wanted unity and peace among all of the various Christian denominations. Islam wasn’t anywhere on their radar screen. There were basically zero Muslims in America when the Bill of Rights was written. It didn’t factor into their calculations at all.

Lots of morons in the comments insisting that the Founders did know what Islam was. Yes, obviously. Jefferson fought a war against Muslims. I didn’t say that the Founders were unaware of Islam’s existence. I said that it didn’t factor into their “freedom of religion” calculation

@MattWalshBlog Here you go MAGA retards. Don’t listen to dumb ass Matt Walsh!

@MattWalshBlog We get it, loser. You’re a pathetic shill for Zionists and they’ve put out the instructions that you amp up the hate against Muslims. Doesn’t change the first amendment, though.

@MattWalshBlog John Adams: "The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims]..."

@MattWalshBlog Words are useless on these people. They will reinterpret all words into whatever can be used to hurt you.

@MattWalshBlog Muslims aren’t going anywhere and you know it Matt Walsh is a paid propagandist of the capitalist class who is just desperately trying to deflect poor white people away from class war

@MattWalshBlog Why do you think you are the person assigned to interpret what was written 250 years ago? Religion of freedom is for all religions. Not just that ones YOU like.

@MattWalshBlog Matt’s Jewish boss @benshapiro makes him say stupid things, what a dumb tweet 🤦🏻‍♂️

@MattWalshBlog The First Amendment wasn’t written as a blank check for importing foreign ideologies. It was to protect Protestants, Catholics, Quakers, and other Christian sects from state persecution.

@MattWalshBlog Walsh is lying and hopes his followers are too stupid to think for themselves. Jefferson, Washington, and Franklin each specifically wrote in defense of freedom of religion extending to Muslims. Franklin wrote that they'd be welcome to preach in Philadelphia's new church!

@MattWalshBlog Islam is not compatible with Western culture. They seek to colonize the West & establish caliphates with Shariah Law. They're not here to help us maintain our culture, like immigrants are supposed to. Assimilation should be a prerequisite for immigration.

@MattWalshBlog White people bomb Muslims out of their home country then complain when they move here

Image in tweet by Matt Walsh

@MattWalshBlog They had Deist and Atheist and a Variety of Native belief and in the treaty of Tripoli that was with Muslims

@MattWalshBlog Completely agree. It is time to call Islam what it is a totalitarian political ideology masking itself as a religion to subvert our constitution and government. We need to designate Islam in its entirety a terrorist organization. There is no First Amendment protection for an

@MattWalshBlog Deport them first and ask questions later 🚨

@MattWalshBlog So they were thinking about Zionist evangelicals who pray to pastors that promise salvation in exchange for a Rolls Royce and celebrate the mass killing of children in the Land of Christ but not Muslims? Got it 😂💀

@MattWalshBlog I forgot that after beating the Barbary Pirates, Jefferson invited a million of them to settle Ohio

@MattWalshBlog Lies. Thomas Jefferson’s Quran is in the Library of Congress

@MattWalshBlog You are a Shabbos Goy who gets shekels from Ben Shapiro to shill for Israel. You are going to hell forever unless you repent.

@MattWalshBlog Next your going to say the Founders never imagined a 90 ft tall statue of a Hindu monkey god being built in Texas.

@MattWalshBlog Technically Islam is a Christian heresy, therefore it's a Christian denomination, according to Christians. So we can stay.

@MattWalshBlog The Founders spoke in terms of Christian denominations, not pagan faiths. This is clearly evident from their writings.

@MattWalshBlog All the founders weren’t even Christians beard man. Stop trying to shape events to fit your narratives.

@MattWalshBlog God bless America.

@MattWalshBlog Thomas Jefferson specifically highlighted Islam and directly claimed that the laws of the United States existed to give Muslims freedom to worship in America.

@MattWalshBlog That peace is based on universal principles.

@MattWalshBlog The first encounter the US had with Islam is called the Barbary Wars. We won. Too bad we missed the Crusades.

@MattWalshBlog Also, they literally fought Muslims and warned how evil it was. Freedom of Religion was meant to be for all Christian ppl because of all the different denominations

@MattWalshBlog That’s why Americans are having such a hard time understanding Islam

@MattWalshBlog It was a blind spot. They did not envision a religion that would seek to destroy and replace Christianity in the USA.

@MattWalshBlog Interesting, Matty. Fun fact: Free black men didn't figure into their calculations either.

@MattWalshBlog Well, Suleiman Melli Melli, the ambassador of the Bey of Tunis, did discuss God and women with several Cherokee chiefs at a reception in Jefferson’s White House.
