Today's worldbuilder is @basedbinkie . He is the creator and artist of the Familiar Lands universe, an original fantasy setting with its own religions, traditions, fauna and flora (as well as a magic system) all inspired by real world cultures.
His world contains multiple countries that take inspiration in ancient civilizations from the real world. He has also included many races living across the map, both above and below the ground.
Familiar Lands also possess it's own pantheon of gods. In the more recent iteration of the world there are 14 (known) Fundamentals who rule over the world and 3 "Unfamiliar" gods with unknown goals and intentions. There are also demigods, children of the gods with mortals.
Personally, my second favorite part of his world has to be the Bestiary entries. His artstyle is great overall but he really goes that extra mile when designing (and writing about) his monsters and unique creatures from his world.
The setting already contains a multitude of characters with diverse goals and personalities. We occasionally get small stories expanding their backstories and see what they are currently doing in the world.
Lastly, I would like to praise the artist's comic set on that universe, "Chivalry Starved". It follows Flayne on her journey to become a knight while exploring Great Europa and beyond.
In conclusion, I would say Based Binkie is a really great artist with a noticeable passion for his project. He posts consistent updates and is very friendly when interacting with his community, so if you like light hearted fantasy worlds, do follow him and read Chivalry Starved.
