Every winter Delhi smog is blamed on Punjab farmers burning stubble. But what if this crisis was scripted long ago by colonial policy and Green Revolution math? And what if solutions rooted in Dharmik cycles already exist? Thread 🧵 Read on 👇

Every winter Delhi chokes. TV blames Punjab farmers burning parali. But the real story begins 150 years ago. A colonial script turned food into poison, fodder into smoke. Let’s trace the stubble trap.

British cleared Punjab forests and built canal colonies. Wheat monoculture fed empire granaries. Local crop diversity broke. Soil water cattle cycles that ran for centuries were disrupted.

Traditional crops like bajra jowar maize pulses gave digestible straw for cattle. Nothing went to waste. Straw was food bedding compost. A dharmic cycle of soil to gau to human.

1960s Green Revolution locked Punjab into wheat and paddy. High yield seeds chemical fertilizers MSP. Paddy was alien to Punjab ecology but perfect for export math.

Paddy straw has high silica. Cattle reject it. Unlike bajra or jowar straw it cannot become gau-bhojan. What was once food for animals became useless residue.

By 1980s Punjab was trapped in paddy wheat cycle. Every harvest produced mountains of straw. But farmers had no market or use for it. A living cycle turned into dead weight.

In 2009 a new law forced late paddy sowing to save groundwater. That left only 20 days before wheat sowing. Removing straw by hand or machine was impossible for most farmers.

Burning became the cheapest fastest option. One matchstick clears the field in hours. It costs nothing. Farmers stuck in this policy trap took the only path left.

Delhi smog peaks every November. Cameras show burning fields. Farmers are blamed. But vehicle smoke industry dust and urban waste add far more to NCR air. Blame is ritual not solution.

Punjab farmer knows parali is not waste. But without fodder use without biomass markets without direct incentives he has no choice. The system made him polluter.

🌱 Dharmik Solutions Begin What was once considered waste can become wealth. Time to restore soil, nourish gau, and revive ancient cycles of abundance. 👇👇

True solution is crop diversity. Bajra pulses maize oilseeds restore soil health use less water and their straw feeds cattle. Bringing them back heals both farmer and gau.

Gau-based economy can absorb parali. Punjab has surplus straw. Rajasthan and Gujarat face fodder shortage. Transport links and fodder markets can turn waste into gau-bhojan again.

Parali can fuel bioCNG ethanol and paper. District biomass plants can pay farmers per tonne collected. Straw becomes energy not smog.

Instead of endless machine subsidies just pay farmers ₹2000 to ₹3000 per acre for not burning. Direct incentive costs less than Delhi’s air control budgets.

Local cooperatives can pool parali into gaushalas dairies compost pits. Each block can be self-sufficient. When gau thrives soil fertility and milk economy rise.

Bio-decomposer sprays can turn straw into compost in weeks. If subsidized and scaled it returns organic matter to soil. The same parali that pollutes can rebuild fertility.

Dharmic order teaches nothing is waste. What rots is fertilizer what feeds gau is wealth what burns in yajna uplifts. Parali crisis is policy inversion of that truth.

Blaming farmers repeats colonial habit of shaming annadata while hiding empire math. Real solution is restoring balance of soil water gau. Not finger pointing in TV studios.

Imagine Punjab with diverse crops cattle well-fed parali fueling village energy plants fodder markets linking surplus to shortage zones. Smog turns into prosperity.

This is not utopia. It is how Bharat lived for centuries before colonial disruption. The cycle was dharmic and self-sustaining. It can be revived with today’s tools.

The stubble crisis was engineered by empire math & Green Revolution planning. It can be reversed by soil gau and diversity. Blame keeps us trapped. Dharmik renewal frees us.

Parali was never waste. Policy made it waste. Farmers are not villains. They are trapped in scripts. The way out is simple: soil + gau + diversity. If you want India’s youth to see both the problem and the solution, RT this thread 🚩
