@bradneuberg @tszzl It’s a tiny place, like one of those princedoms in Europe. They could become an Asian Luxemburg or Monaco - and they did - but there was never a future where they’d be a major manufacturing or innovation hub.

@bradneuberg @tszzl not enough domestic demand to sustain innovation (even if export falls), unlike JP KR. semiconductor manufacture shifted to tw cn (apple in china details this). petrochemical is ok. port is best in class (sg builds ports for others). tech is possible but US sucks in most talent
