“What do you do for a fever?” Nothing. I do nothing. Is it uncomfortable? Yes. Big Pharma profits on you not being able to live in discomfort. You pay in the long run by poisoning your body with their “solutions.” Trust your body!
@GubbaHomestead I do this with my toddler, I refuse to give him anything, just outdoor time and keep him relaxed and comfortable and it goes away naturally. We haven’t had any issues past a cold/flu I make homemade electrolytes for hydration and have a recipe for homemade elderberry gummies
@be_homestead Yes to all of this! Barefoot outside is a great detox and healer
@GubbaHomestead What were you making their. Looks interesting
@RealStevemaster Apple cider vinegar!
@GubbaHomestead What do you do? You rest, drink fluids, rest some more - while your body does it’s thing, just like in the good ol’ days.
@LLB24693515 Couldn’t agree more
@GubbaHomestead These accounts are dangerous, sharing unverified herbal concoctions as a holistic approach, which can lead to serious health issues. These individuals should be named and shamed.
@GubbaHomestead Guess you’ve never heard of anoxic brain injury from febrile seizures.
@GubbaHomestead I eat the spiciest thing I can find and try to burn it out of my system, while also making myself feel worse. Dunno it if works, I just enjoy the pain.
@GubbaHomestead Are you making homemade apple cider vinegar?
@GubbaHomestead A fever is your body’s immune system trying to fight something off. If you stop the fever you prevent your immune system from working and that sounds more dangerous than the fever…
@GubbaHomestead I disagree with it being uncomfortable. Taking Tylenol and constantly breaking your fever back and forth is far more uncomfortable than simply riding out the fever. I just set up a space heater and make the room hot. Works for me 🤷♂️.
@GubbaHomestead Miss chatting. ILove you x ❤️
@GubbaHomestead Tudca
@GubbaHomestead The last time I had a fever, I was 12 years old, and I'm 42, so I'll let you know when it happens again.
@GubbaHomestead What do you do for your raging narcissism
@GubbaHomestead What do you do for a high fever while pregnant?
@GubbaHomestead What do you do for headaches? When ice packs, hydration and sleep just don’t break the pain
@GubbaHomestead Any recommendations for severe ear infections? Normally zero pharma but had one this spring after a beach trip so bad my head swole up and felt like it was going to explode—literally could not even sleep. Ended getting antibiotics delivered at 1am and felt gross/tired after.
@GubbaHomestead If you want to bring down your high temperature just put some wet socks on
@GubbaHomestead No one should trust you for medical advice.
@GubbaHomestead @grok Confirm that the body's internal mechanisms won't allow temperature above 106F as a response to inflammation or infection and will only go above that if those mechanisms malfunction.
@GubbaHomestead How ignorant. Life expectancy has dramatically increase because of medicine.
@GubbaHomestead What about when your child has a 104/105 fever and they are miserable? This is where we run into issues in my house and nothing natural seems to help but meds.
@GubbaHomestead Once had a temp of 107.6. No drugs were taken. At this point, though, my husband made me get into a cool bath. My kids never got meds for temps. We let their bodies kill off the infection.
@GubbaHomestead I just need to point out, the reason I like trains isn’t because my mum had a headache.
@GubbaHomestead What about febrile seizures?
@GubbaHomestead Thank you!!! This is NOT said enough! Say it louder for the self-righteous bitches in the back!
@GubbaHomestead Cold showers.. or cold bath works just as well as the medicines if you're really running a fever.
@GubbaHomestead Fever actually kills cancer cells. Look it up. They’re less resilient to elevated temps. There’s even “fevertherapy” and before we surpassed natural fevers we had less cancer. I hate running a fever though too. It’s miserable
@GubbaHomestead I agree that for a minor fevers or discomfort that is reasonable. Not everything needs to be treated. People do jump to medications too quickly. More severe fevers can be different, though.
@GubbaHomestead Natural remedy to draw a fever out is water&vinegar soaked cloths on hands and feet. Oldie but goodie and in my case lead to an aversion against vinegar in salads (that’s the downside)
@GubbaHomestead Interesting. What do you do if it gets too high?
@GubbaHomestead And the fever is a sign of your body’s fight against some pathogen.
@GubbaHomestead Stupid !!!!!
