@Thdlock Aren't they mostly getting rid of combat addons? What's the issue? As an Ex-Mythic raider, now no-longer player, I always found an overabundance of raid addons to be unwieldy, obnoxious, and silly, yet mandatory-feeling thanks to the difficulty of the content being tuned around

@TheoryWiseOS That was alot of the thought but the current iteration is far more far reaching then what was expected where it will even effect UI which was specified as something they would attempt to not mess with. Also they stated it would be a slow removal instead its all at once.

@Thdlock sorry dude, but no. The removal of addons and the changes they've presented are going to be vital for the game to survive. Nobody can fuckin play this shit anymore man. ZERO new players. Its far too daunting. I've tried to get buddies into it many times and they just laugh.

@Thdlock Not sure that would work very well. Personally I use mostly UI customization addons. Without those, it wouldn’t change much. Plus they said those type addons would be allowed. The groups most affected are the end game content people, which accounts for a small percentage of

@Thdlock Yeah that’s a wild take. What in particular are you upset about? Like combat weak auras being removed? Or DBM removed and having blizzard version? A lot of people are not huge addon fans. Like the majority of my friends and guild do not like all the addons besides cosmetic ones

@Thdlock Why don’t you wait and see how they have reworked mechanics/bosses before doom posting. You play this game for a living yes, but WeakAuras are a crutch for what has been poor game design for years.

@Thdlock Take it a step further, disable addon support right now. Cold turkey it. Guarantee people reverse course on defending no addons almost immediately.

@Thdlock I think if the game cant be fun without these addons youre not really playing the game youre playing with addons. The best thing blizzard can do to pursue a vision is to build out their game so that we dont need these addons for the game to be fun.

@Thdlock I play Destiny 2 as well as WoW, see that game tanking currently? Bungie listened to the meta swearlords and look at the state of the game now. You are literally a very small very vocal minority.

@Thdlock @thdlock - check this comment again in a year when everyone complains about this. But - i am a developer - for shuts I tried to remake several integral weak auras without access to the api and it worked. I just used alternate methods that didn’t interface with the client.

@Thdlock 1. a guy who never played wow kills the first boar and ragequit because someone told him to install a WA 2. a guy who went through all of the leveling ragequitting because he needs to install one app and 3 addons imagine appealing to people that don't even exist
