@brunoborges @java @BillyKorando @nipafx IO is straightforward and missing since Java 1.0 while JDatePicker API and scope are harder to nail in the first attempt. Java already has its set of Date API deprecations and mistakes, they probably want to avoid adding more
@govisagod512 @java @BillyKorando @nipafx It's a good rationale, but after the fact. I don't remember if OpenJDK has a documented rationale for whether new APIs must be a JEP or not.
