First, I have no want nor any desire or interest in affiliating myself with someone like Soul. Neither do any of the leads, nor do any of the team members want to.

We want nothing to do with Soul or whatever happens between them and people like Pariet who continue to associate with them. They've remained completely disconnected from any of us really past legal stuff.

Second, "we were protecting soul-" No, we weren't. I cannot go much into the NDA or deal that took place for Basil and I to receive full 100% IP ownership of Forsaken. However, I would like to lay it out like this...

Would you prefer Soul only get a portion of game revenue? Or would you prefer a large studio on Roblox that dominates the platform paying them $30-50m USD, the game become corporate, and our jobs having been at stake (they were during the deal, but I won't go too much into that)

I will also use this time to say this, the share they have is EXCLUSIVELY game revenue. If you want to buy merch or anything outside of the game to support the Forsaken team that money goes to us and gets put back into developing the game. It does not go to soul or anybody else.

Third, the many harsh statements and words put out to our collaborators. I would rather it not come to this, but the harassment of our collaborators, who we've explained the situation to in private and have heard things out proper, is unacceptable.

These people choose to continue working with us out of their own want and because they want to support the team. Not Soul.

Loomain Legacy have been very kind to us and I would like for our community to treat them with the same kindness they have given us. They're wonderful people, and for an animator and lead developer of another project to be harassing them is unacceptable behavior from any team.

For our collaborators that have pulled their stuff out, or feel dupped by the stuff to come out recently, we understand and were grateful for being given the opportunity to collaborate and even test the waters with stuff. We hope we can work with you again in the future.

Fourth, "why couldn't you say anything beforehand?" NDA. The NDA envelops the whole contractual dealings and anything that happens relating to it. That included that specific part of it. I cannot express this enough, but breaking NDAs does not consult a small consequence.

You get sued, and you get sued a LOT of money. This is a very good reason to avoid breaking it. I apologize if anyone feels dupped or betrayed because of this. But we could not say anything. Furthermore changes and updates to things being monetized in-game was not to give Soul-

money. We added more stuff to VIP to make it worth its purchase (including more content on the way for it) which was something we promised in June + the second emote wheel as we felt the stuff we already were putting into VIP was more than making up its cost.

Fifth, "Soul broke the NDA, can't you take action?" This was a rumor started by someone on here due to coincidences. Until we have full physical evidence of this allegation occurring we cannot take action. This is just how law and legal stuff works.

As well I want to say that to the people who have proposed us "just making a separate game a group-" That is legal loophole hell. All I will say on that comment.

Sixth, a proper apology to people I want to apologize for anybody hurt, people who feel their trust is broken, or feel duped by recent news. I have no words myself and truly do want to say sorry for hurting you all.

While I have my justifications for the route I chose I understand not many will see it as such, even if the situation Basil and I were put in placed us between a rock and a hard place.

Seventh, what's going to happen to the game? Nothing. Nothing is going to happen. The Forsaken Development Team will be continuing to develop the game we love even with the recent news and roadblocks.

This game was built by its contributors and there's no promise of another game succeeding, plus we'd like to stick with Forsaken and continue developing the game we love.

We've been working hard on content for the past...3-4 months? Killers, survivors, maps, special events, revamps, reworks, and plenty more. To toss everything down the drain would not only be demotivating, but disheartenign to the community that surrounds the game. Thank you.

Personal note: I want to say that while I am disheartened by the devs, teams, and plenty more that have rebuked us for all the recent information to come out...I understand completely. Many games I've looked up to see me especially in a negative light.

While I know there is no world where we can find ourselves on equal ground considering current circumstances, I hope this thread does help or aid you in seeing our side of things + clarifying things instead of leaving them ambiguous.

I will still continue to support y'all's games. I know how it is to have a few people possibly sour things, but I won't let that deter me from continuing to use my income and robux from Forsaken to support the many games on the platform. I hope we can become friends again, Hypo
