When you get an idea, but it is unexpressed even in thoughts - that state is called Para. When you give form to it in thoughts, it becomes Pashyanti. When those thoughts are experienced mentally in sounds or form, it becomes Madhyama. When it is said out aloud, even written

@aravind this post started off so well; great insights that I did not know and will always remember. The end showed that that one who holds great insights might not understand how to use them. Imagine if many change reality by holding an intention (Para) for peace and human flourishing

@TimEmiola This is what India has been doing for long and been at the receiving end. I believe in what Krishna says. To restore dharma, evil needs to be destroyed first. And their Karma is real. They can't beat it, no matter what we intend. So better to help them expend their karma faster.

@aravind It's very deep and make sense, sir. I want to know one thing ( though may vary from your message) about the mantra reciting (maanasa japa). I have heard & read about this. Can we correlate this technique to your message. Maybe reciting in your mind/to urself has more power?

@DharmaRakshathi Yes reciting in your mind, to yourself, has more power it is said.

@aravind I have a doubt..you get an idea, but it is unexpressed even in thoughts... Idea is the first step of manifestation/expression isn't it? How can an idea be unexpressed even in thought is my question ❓ once there is an idea, it has already taken the form of thought..isn't it?

@E207473N This is what we understand because we are always either in jagrut / swapna / shushupti state. In these three states of consciousness an idea is "perceptible" only in the form of a thought or visualisation or words or not perceptible at all (in sushupti). But think about where the

@aravind Pashyanti is hardest to maintain since all thoughts in out brain have become mostly words. A thought is instantly converted to sound patterns which we hear as inner monologue

@nighnight33 True actually.

@aravind This is deep. Never really thought about how an idea travels from the unspoken to the spoken, and how each stage carries a different kind of power. Makes sense though everything starts as energy before it becomes reality. Really liked how you connected it with consciousness and

@Lonewolf_TRB It's not me. Our ancestors have developed philosophies and theories on every aspect of human existence long ago. The world is re-inventing most of the philosophy under new terminology now.

@aravind I have these words on my whiteboard and I had forgotten the exact meaning. I had planned to look it up, but it slipped my mind. And now...I found this tweet on my TL. This is giving me goosebumps.

@VerBubbly Great.

@aravind we experience only what we know(knowledge). without knowledge nothing can be experienced.

@aravind A brilliant articulation of the power of Vāc—the word, and the will behind it. The progression from Para (unmanifest intent) to Vaikhari (spoken action) maps the fundamental principle that the most subtle is the most powerful. If even a fleeting Vaikhari thought triggers a

@aravind You are almost there but not correct. Para- abstract idea or a feeling Pashyanti- concrete idea in image form Madhyama- idea in word form but so far no sound or even a vibration in visudha chakra Vekhari- words/sound uttered externally.

@aravind That's a fascinating perspective on how thoughts manifest, from silent intention to spoken words. The examples you gave, like mantras and feelings, really drive the point home. It's a good reminder to be mindful of our inner world! Do you find it hard to maintain that "Para"

@aravind these are the four stages of vAk, propounded in our shAstras on philosophy or linguistics we usually know of vaikhari only, but the spoken words have had a journey. -- just before it is spoken, the thoughts' sense can be made by observing body language! "The mind is read by

@aravind I truly believe venting in a healthy way helps you manifest better in your life, it’s letting the universe know you’re unhappy on something, which can only make the universe want to help you find a solution to it, which is why I’m always baffled when I get upset on the timeline

@aravind Wonderful explanation And corresponding to each form has one Kosha like Annamay, Pranmay, Manomay, Vigyanmay, Anandamay and when the recitation is done in Manomay kosha or above it, that does wonders and person gets the ability beyond human beings.

@aravind Shri Bhaskararaya explains this beautifully as the translation for Lalita Sahasranama verse Para Pratyakchitiroopa Pashyanti ...

@aravind What is the source of this? Any shloka or reference to some Sutr or smriti?

@aravind Absolutely an amazing read, Sir. Curious to know what was there before my existence and what will be there after my existence ceases to exist, and when was that moment in our childhood we gained the sense of self.
