Understanding who the Dispensational Zionists are will help quite a bit in trying to reach them. Largely, they are deeply committed low-information Christians without access (that they know about) to classical doctrine. And when they're confronted with Systematic Theology, they
@LostMyHats There still exist many theologians and Christians who hold to the mistaken notion that there will be "an end times conversion of the Jews" before "all Israel can be saved". The puritan hope is alive and well, the puritans presenting the first instance of Christian Zionism.
@AJMacDonaldJr That’s absurd. Dispensational Zionism did not exist until 1821. During the Puritan era, the vast majority of JEWS were not even Zionists (like, almost none), let alone Puritans. The Puritans were Covenantalists and viewed themselves as Zion, and America as the New Jerusalem.
@LostMyHats What about The Master’s Seminary? This is a serious conservative training ground , yet leans Dispensational
@Jackswife78 “Leans” is an understatement.
@LostMyHats Hey JD, do you ever do interviews? I’m looking for an expert at debunking dispensational evangelical Zionism…. Can you shoot me a DM?
@LostMyHats Here are some people with resources I recommend to anyone who wants to examine the assertions of the OP regarding the Jews and eschatology: Michael Vlach, John Walvoord, Thomas Ice, @petergoeman_ I don’t think anyone can rightly call these men “low information Christians”
@LostMyHats “And when they're confronted with Systematic Theology, they abandon Dispensational Doctrine almost immediately and without exception* They’re boomers and boomers would rather tear their own fingernails out than give up dispensationalism
@LostMyHats the problem with many dispensationalists is that they take it as a matter of faith, similar to kjv-onlyism. that's how it is and questioning it is wrong.
@LostMyHats This is what you call a low information tweet with lots of words.
@LostMyHats JD just recently said don’t take eschatology too serious. For days now he’s been constantly tweeting about “Dispensational Zionism”.🤣 The reason for this is because he’s unable to rightly divide scripture to fit his own eschatology. So what the only other option? Insults.
@LostMyHats Personally I think the value of reading just the Bible alone without any other studies or helps is of inestimable value in forming a solid doctrinal and hermeneutical foundation. Systematic theology is largely a product of seminaries and prone to similar errors as Scofield.
@LostMyHats Even better. . . Biblical Theology.
@LostMyHats You sound awfully prideful, almost like a gnostic suggesting you have some superior knowledge than others… Your whole ministry is attacking dispensationalists, which should be your red flag…as that’s no ministry at all… the cognitive dissonance is strong with you. Such are
@LostMyHats Illustrating the Kabbalah mysticism at the wall can change their minds. It’s obviously the occult. Then show bring up the Talmud injunctions against Christ.
@LostMyHats It is better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. You ignorance is only exceeded by your pride. If Jesus were here He’d rebuke you…anyone who knows Jesus can see this post doesn’t come from a man who walks with Jesus.
@LostMyHats I was taught that a good hermeneutic leads you to dispensationalism. Given that a good hermeneutic is the literal/historical variety, it works when reading Daniel and Revelations. It falls apart at Matthew 24 by trying to make Jesus’ prophesy on this generation futuristic.
@LostMyHats I'm neither dispensationalist nor zionist, but this is calling for ppl to jump out of the frying pan into the fire (as if dispensationalism isn't a system, in the first place!) Scripture is inherently unsystematic. Therefore, imposing any system distorts Scripture's meaning.
@LostMyHats I was converted as a teen under a man who could barely read. He was a great man, and I owe much to him. He got his doctrine out of the marginal notes and the few theological written out of Schofield's comments. That's all he knew, and for a while, all I knew.
@LostMyHats a lot of words to say you reject romans 11
@LostMyHats Man, you’re good at not only pinpointing the cause, but supplying the remedy. Which is biblical literacy. Great post JD.
@LostMyHats "In other words, the cause of their notions is ignorance. The solution in a decent theological education....or bad actors, the evangelical influencers who largely know better, but need to maintain their influence"
@LostMyHats The Moody Bible College picked it up and crammed it into the seminaries.
@LostMyHats Have you engaged Michael Vlach on this subject?
@LostMyHats I’m so thankful for my local Baptist church. No Israel worship or influence.
@LostMyHats This was me 30 years ago
@LostMyHats Stealing this

@LostMyHats The war against dispensationalism is so bizarre. Seeing the way the anti-Israel folks act has me more convinced than ever that dispensationalism is true. We have truth. You have Candace Owens.
@LostMyHats many a board has run out biblically trained pastors who wouldn't bow to the secret rapture. the boomer generation views themselves as the fig tree generation. its a high pay out and only losses for them to face reality. traded out the Christian West for Talmudic Tribulation.
@LostMyHats I've found that John 8:44 is sufficient by itself to teach the truth about Christ-rejecting Jews.
@LostMyHats Is there a Dispensationalism that is not necessarily “Dispensational Zionism”?
