1. 5α-reductase converts Testosterone → DHT. This enzyme is like a “safety valve,” channeling testosterone away from aromatization. DHT itself cannot aromatize into estrogen.

2. If you block 5α-reductase (with finasteride, dutasteride, saw palmetto & DHT blockers etc.): Less testosterone is converted to DHT. That testosterone remains “in circulation” and is more available for AROMATASE to convert into Estrogen.

The net result: higher estrogen / lower DHT → feminizing, depressive, inflammatory effects. The root cause of hair loss can be a combination of: >Low T3 (high TSH, or low T3) >Low Biotin (easiest to fix) >Low Iron >Low Zinc >Low Copper >Protein (very low or very high)
