Mumbai Metro 3 Fact Check: The initial planning included a direct underground connection. A seamless underpass connecting Churchgate Railway Station subway with the Metro (150m length), similar to CSMT. But it had to be abandoned because a few trees were in the way, and the
@ShivamVahia 2016 Tree Cutting Map For Churchgate Metro3 Station Red dots are trees to be cut And no reds dots for connecting M3 to Railways Surprised anyone protested when there was no such plan Perhaps this story is like how Aarey Depot delayed M3 line & how costs went up Nice story!
@zoru75 February 2020, Environmental Impact Assessment. Have a look at Churchgate station plan.
@ShivamVahia Idiots of the highest order
@unraveaero The silver lining is... there's one more potential car shed-type issue brewing within MMR (Line IX)... but its location is such that no Bandra-NIMBY will dare reach there via the local trains or WEH :)
@ShivamVahia If the subway is underground how will it affect trees which can be re-planted?
@ShivamVahia Very interesting MMRCL had no problem cutting down thousands of trees at Aarey but decided not to cut trees on the road leading from Churchgate to CCI. What's more interesting MMRCL actually cut down multiple trees at the Churchgate end of Oval which is 2 mins from this spot
@ShivamVahia See the video at 14:20 to see the explanation of why the subway was not built - "we had planned a subway, but it entailed the cutting of more trees, so we dropped that." A special hell is required for the pseudo-environmentalists.
@ShivamVahia Thatβs crazy. There needs to be an underground connection much needed especially during the monsoons.
@ShivamVahia Zoru was at the forefront of opposing metro 3. Now has become a daily critic of whats missing in metro 3. Hypocrisy has no boundaries
@ShivamVahia None of these so called environment activists like this @zoru75 must have dumped using ac at home or stopped using car n gyaan aisa dete hai jaise inke bina Insaan Saans nahi le paayenge.. π
@ShivamVahia Can we create the subway now? Ignoring these environ mentals objections.?
@ShivamVahia Add one passage from dadar station. It will be wild.
@ShivamVahia Iβll just wait patiently until it drowns, gets washed away or simply breaks down and falls apart into pieces. Itβs the case with everything thatβs been built by these corrupt politicians and their bureaucrats or their systems. Matter of time ππ½
@ShivamVahia Why station cud not be at location 1, atleast at loc 2 & why call it seamless even with subway when v cannot even call it an interchange at actual loc 3. Govt. carried out tree-cutting inspite of huge protests in Aarey with efficiency, enthusiasm thn why this hollow blame game
@ShivamVahia Chirchgate buildings are on collectors(public) land. They should not block progress which is good for the public @NPCCA .
@ShivamVahia you're right, but the news also feature that all the trees required to cut down were cut, so there should be no excuse then
@ShivamVahia What the hell , now millions of people for next 100 years will waste there time in switching metro and local because of few trees π
@ShivamVahia And have the guts to say perhaps '4 billion' was not enough.
@ShivamVahia Zoru Uncle best To find faults
@ShivamVahia They should still go ahead with it
@ShivamVahia Can they not yet construct?
@ShivamVahia BKL all of them
@ShivamVahia @victortangodkm here's your answer why Churchgate is not connected to the BMC Subway.
@ShivamVahia ππππwhen @Dev_Fadnavis @AshwiniBhide can choose down 100s of trees overnight at Aarey forest for a crashed, you are alleging that they tried to save a few trees in South Mumbai πππ
