Demonstrate relationships while building on learned skills - for example, simple multiplication is related to addition : 4+4+4 = 3x4. Continually revisit prior learning

@rastokke 💯 I pulled my kid out when students were “calculating” the Southern Poverty Law Center Hate Map in pre-algebra. This “pedagogy” is used to legitimize straying from textbook math and instead brainwash politics where parents would least expect it. Infuriating.

@rastokke I agree and think it is crap but I know of two districts (Waxahachie ISD and Ferris ISD) in Ellis Co Texas that are pushing this on their teachers.

@rastokke Even if they do, many don’t speak education jargon & send their kids to school believing the kids are getting what they need. This garbage is everywhere & so many buy into it. Then look at me like I’ve grown two heads when I tell them to just show them how it’s done.
