Around 10 days ago — shortly before the elections — I published an article where I discussed the temporary electoral system as per Decree 143/2025, the context in which elections took place, & the trade-offs the government have sought to navigate

According to Decree 143, two-thirds of People’s Assembly i.e. 140 members elected via electoral colleges. On October 5, 119 members were elected in 49 electoral districts — because elections could not be held in Suwayda’, Hasaka, and Raqqa governorates
But—while most of Hasaka+Raqqa governorates are under AANES control, some areas are under gov’t control e.g. Ma‘dan, Ras Al-‘Ayn/Serê Kaniyê, Tell Abyad. In Sept, Res.30-31 set up subcommittees; Res.60 listed prelim. elect. colleges (elect. districts Raqqa,Ras Al-‘Ayn,Tell Abyad)
On Oct 4, SANA reported: “A later date will be scheduled for voting in certain areas of Raqqa and Hasakah provinces […]” https://sana.sy/en/local/22708...
And indeed, few days ago, Higher Committee issued Res. 68 featuring the adjusted electoral colleges’ lists for Ras al-‘Ayn/Serê Kaniyê & Tell Abyad electoral districts:
And shortly after, Res. 69 was issued establishing an appeals committee for these electoral districts:

@nawarnajmeh And — though there’s no official statement/confirmation so far — reports began circulating yesterday suggesting that an elected member in Quneitra may be dismissed over his role in the Baʿth party
