📢 Time for an update on my workflow. This one's a 23 min read, so buckle up. 100% organic and hand-written, like an animal. https://steipete.me/posts/just...

@steipete Good article. I kind of agree with most, except that I do stick with claude for now and use codex just for specific stuff. I do like claude agents and spec/plan/task -> implement because it really can improve the output and how long agent runs before stopping (check agent os 2

@ssijak I spec/plan with codex. Just ask it to discuss, verbal plan mode.

@steipete Incredible, very detailed and opinionated, thanks! I think the main things I probably think of a bit more are using the testing out model SDKs as part of the workflow, trying to design agentic workflows and feedback loops with other models.

@JacquesThibs Thanks! Point of this post was to tell ya that all you need is codex :)

@steipete Jupp. Interestingly enough, the workflow you describe is 98% the workflow I have with Claude. I don't get how we both can have the opposite experience.

@badlogicgames Yeah that is puzzling. Aren't you being triggered by it's bs happy language?

@steipete Maybe I’m behind the curve. I still write a large plan and iterate on the plan in Markdown so I can let Claude Code work for a couple of hours while I’m in meetings during the day. Usually I have enough mental capacity to have two projects going in parallel, then the cleanup is

@kendallchuang from rn. spec works, it's just not *fun* and IMO I get much better ideas with an iterative process.

@steipete “100% organic and hand-written, like an animal.” This is nice in the ocean of ai slop now. Sure going to read it all.

@bitdeep_ And yet it's aboit AI slop. xD

@steipete >IMO most are something for the marketing department to make a checkbox and be proud. Almost all MCPs really should be clis. Lots of great knowledge in this post (and things that needed to be said out loud), thanks for writing this

@AlexReibman I mean... we all learn! I shipped lots of MCPs :)

@steipete A joy to read, thanks for sharing!

@peterdedene Thanks for sharing, Pete!

@steipete Shhhhhh, you’re revealing all the magic tricks!!
