I love @Microsoft Windows so much, especially its functional search feature
@GamersNexus @Microsoft I don't think this is a legit screenshot... Otherwise it would show bing search results for photoshop! 🤣
@christitustech @Microsoft At least then I can get bing points!
@GamersNexus time to switch to Linux
@tomwarren Several machines already running it for benchmarks. This one needs Windows for applications that don't port.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft I am surprised they did not offer you an ad for Microsoft Paint.
@Joseph_D_Morris @Microsoft That'd be too useful!
@GamersNexus @Microsoft At you least yours lets you type something.
@BaitedRage @Microsoft Maybe it's a paid feature you have to unlock
@GamersNexus @Microsoft surely you wanted to search for Photoshop on Bing?
@GamersNexus @Microsoft My favorite is when it cant find the installed program, but it can find the exe to install it again.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft But just think of all the screenshots of that you’ll be able to search through with Copilot
@GamersNexus @Microsoft "It seems like you're trying to search for "Photoshop", would you like help with that?"
@GamersNexus @Microsoft I know what the point here is, but I'd like to point out that MS PowerToys has a functional replacement for... whatever that thing is trying to do
@GamersNexus @Microsoft Oh, no! Anyway...
@GamersNexus @Microsoft If Microsoft put a gun to my head and told me to upgrade to 11, I'd tell them to the pull the trigger
@GamersNexus @Microsoft I’m really looking forward to the day my PC learns how to “Update and Shutdown.” Really looking forward to that Shutdown part. The technology is almost there to make it possible…
@GamersNexus @Microsoft Search in Microsoft has been broken forever. I just get a windows version of grep and use that if I want to find stuff on my hard drive.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft It is really, really bad... When they first switched to this Start years ago on insiders is was even worse. Disable internet search helps a lot. ``` Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer]
@GamersNexus @Microsoft It's a small company. Don't expect too much. They still trying to get the ie dependencies out of everything. I heard they gonna fix the task bar bug soon. Dang, that one never gets old.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft Flow Launcher is the answer for this. Like "Everything" is a proper file system search tool.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft Things that constantly break on Windows: Search bar Voice access Emoji virtual keyboard User profiles Some of those are also non repairable without a clean Windows install 🤡
@GamersNexus @Microsoft I love spyOS i mean Windows
@GamersNexus @Microsoft Did you press <enter>
@GamersNexus @Microsoft We baked in ads across the operating system! So you can't find the files you're looking for! We don't care for your privacy. We sell your data when you use our OS. That's how Microsoft would've said it
@GamersNexus @Microsoft And this is another reason I use openshell. Because that one actually works. And I get my start menu back
@GamersNexus @Microsoft skill issue.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft My favorite thing has been "Update and shutdown" really just meaning "Update and restart" like why even give me the option when you are just gonna update and restart anyway bringing me back to windows then i have to select shutdown after. Why you gotta be like that
@GamersNexus @Microsoft I don't care about performance anymore. Winboat, Winboat, Winboat, Winboat, Winboat, That is all.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft I have to type in "Microsoft edge" for the edge to actually show up. Simply typing "edge" wouldn't do.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft Hey, give it a few minutes. Microsoft has modernized it's search UI so now a full blown Node engine is started and running inside the search functionality, which creates an HTTP server to serve the search results as HTML embedded into the Desktop UI.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft I like when it does this when I search for “Windows Updates”
@GamersNexus @Microsoft The fact that third-party apps for Windows do everything so much better than anything Microsoft itself has ever built would be funny if it weren't so sad.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft This is one of the reasons I use Start Is Back. The search actually works.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft SFC and DISM time.
@GamersNexus @Microsoft Start11 is one of the first things I do with a fresh install; and I even leave the start menu in the middle. It's the other stuff.
