TL;DR: I ran too many wrong health experiments and wrecked my heart. Now I’m fixing it — naturally.
Three years ago, I started my “biohacking” journey. Followed all the big names — Saladino, Dr. Berg, etc. Ate “animal-based”: fatty meat, butter, eggs, fruit. Basically a Standard American Diet (SAD) — high fat, high fructose, and liver-toxic.
Felt great at first… then everything started to fall apart. I was also taking vitamin D every single day because it “boosts testosterone.” That was mistake #2. A high-saturated-fat (vitamin A–heavy) diet + vitamin D pills = toxic combo.
Both raise calcium in the blood. Vitamin D pulls more calcium from food. Vitamin A pulls it from your bones. That’s how osteoporosis starts.
When blood calcium rises too high, your body panics. Calcium contracts muscles — including your heart. Magnesium relaxes them. So the body pushes that excess calcium into your tissues to protect you. That’s what “calcification” really is.
Intracellular calcium = aging, stiffness, disease. In heart disease, it’s calcium hardening soft arterial plaque into stone.
And no — dietary calcium isn’t the problem. It’s the retained calcium inside your tissues. Real calcium from food actually helps by blocking heavy metal absorption. The key: avoid poisons that trap calcium inside your cells and deplete potassium.
Then I made the final mistake: I supplemented copper. Huge error. Copper is a metalloestrogen — it mimics estrogen and raises tissue calcium. Forget flax and soy — it’s metals and fat-soluble poisons wrecking your hormones.
High copper = high calcium = low potassium. And potassium is life. It drives your thyroid, energy, and vitality. So I ended up with high BP and arrhythmias.
Instead of meds, I started fixing it naturally. Remove poisons, restore balance, pull calcium out.
1️⃣ Soluble fiber / binders (beans, apples, psyllium, charcoal): Bind toxins and bile acids → flush through stool → clean your liver. A clean liver = lower inflammation, better mineral balance.
2️⃣ Vitamin K2 (MK-4 only): Activates matrix GLA protein (MGP) → moves calcium from arteries → into bones. This is the calcium traffic cop.
3️⃣ Vitamin C: Supports collagen synthesis (your arteries are 40% collagen). Chelates excess calcium and protects vessels from oxidative stress.
4️⃣ Magnesium: Nature’s calcium channel blocker. Relaxes vessels, lowers BP, improves heartbeat rhythm. Transdermal (topical) magnesium works best.
5️⃣ Zinc: Lowers tissue calcium, raises potassium. Supports thyroid hormone activation and reduces inflammation.
Combine these with soluble fiber daily — and you'll start cleaning house from the inside out. My blood pressure normalized, palpitations dropped and I feel alive again. Still healing, but miles better.
