Another set of fixtures passed by swinging the table into a frenzy! And now with an early deadline we’re already looking at #GW9. Here are three picks who could get you the biggest boost this week:

𝗛𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 - 𝗔𝗩𝗟 (𝗔) It’s now 18 goals in his last 9 games for the robot & he only seems to be getting better, making him a mainstay in this shortlist this season! He prepares now to take on a Villa defence that ranks 10th for xGC & have kept only 2 CS so far playing

much weaker attacks than City. Haaland continues his dominance in the league with another brace against EVE & now has 11 goals from 8 games in the PL. He continues to rank 1st for goals scored, xG, nPxG, 7th for Big Chances Created, and 1st for Penalty Area Touches.

The City attack has also been flying and now ranks 1st for goals scored, 3rd for xG, and 2nd for Big Chances Created. Meanwhile the Villa defence has been looking shaky despite over performing their xGC (8 goals conceded from 10.5 xGC) and their turn in form lately.

Pep’s team would look to take advantage of the lapses in defence and continue their charge to the summit. Haaland would once again be the focal point of this attack with his lethal instinct in the box making him a formidable captaincy candidate this week!

𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 - 𝗦𝗨𝗡 (𝗛) It’s been a roller coaster of an experience to have one of the most owned assets in your team so far as he took off strong but has been underperforming for the last few GWs. Now with the fixture against SUN the tide could turn again as CHE look to carry

their momentum from back to back wins! Sunderland have only really had one strong challenge so far (against MUN) and fell short there, which explains the slowness in their numbers which see them ranked 7th for xGC.

On the other hand, Chelsea’s attack has been looking strong ranking 2nd for goals, 6th for xG & 4th for Big Chances Created. He has had a decent influence in these stats & individually ranks 19th for goals, 28th for xG, 23rd for nPxG, 3rd for assists, 3rd for Big Chances Created

& 32nd for Penalty Area Touches. A strong attack vs an inflated defence could lead to another goal fest which could finally see Joao Pedro benefit making him a strong contender for the armband this gameweek.

𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗸 - 𝗕𝗥𝗘 (𝗔) It’s about time the ketchup bottle opens for the £125m striker after having a slow start to life at Liverpool, but the game vs BRE could be the catalyst needed to bring back his Newcastle form. Brentford rank 8th for xGC & have kept just 2 CS so far.

Liverpool have hit a slump in form with four consecutive losses but despite that their underlying numbers in attack look good, ranking 4th for goals scored, 5th for xG, and 3rd for Big Chances Created.

Isak has an exceptional record against Brentford with four goals and an assist in five games and would be looking to replicate it and get his name on the scoresheet leading the comeback for Liverpool towards the title defence.
