Okay, @datadoghq, I'll take my check in the mail because when you do this the company will be worth another billion: Allow us to add .md to the end of any url and give us something to slap into Claude. Looking at a trace? Great here's a markdown version to copypaste.
@nateberkopec @datadoghq Or just switch to the native ChatGPT app in which you can point it to any window on your os and ask a question
@ashishlogmaster @datadoghq chatgpt's ruby is dogshit, not a fix for me 🤣
@nateberkopec @datadoghq Oh please yes
@DanielLockyer @datadoghq ^^^ this guy gets 10% of my check
@nateberkopec @datadoghq What about Datadog MCP Server? Isn’t it enough?
@zegomesjf @datadoghq Admittedly I do need to try this. But I swap between literally 8 different DD accounts daily so I doubt it would be better for me than just copypasting md.
@nateberkopec @datadoghq You can already download a session or error as json quite easily! Slaps into Claude just fine
@nateberkopec @datadoghq oh god damn this is a good idea
@nateberkopec @datadoghq Why not an MCP Server? https://docs.datadoghq.com/bit...
@nateberkopec @datadoghq Oh, @coderabbitai does this with code reviews. Provides an AI-generated AI prompt that is concise and summarizes its fix. Having it for dev time is great. Having it for runtime would be even better.
@nateberkopec @datadoghq I could be into this. Let me get back to you
@nateberkopec @datadoghq Absolutely - for insight and internal usage. Like here in a way https://x.com/the_mewc/status/...
@nateberkopec @datadoghq slapping traces into claude via a .md endpoint is absolutely a 'another billion' idea. cutting out that copy/paste dance for llms is pure gold. 💯
@nateberkopec @datadoghq And would there be any added value in the .md file? Or just the same info? Because I guess Claude can also read json well? Or will Datadog then use AI to convert json to .md so you can then use .md to feed your AI? 😅
@nateberkopec @datadoghq @AppSignal are you reading this?
@nateberkopec @datadoghq My idea was to add an optional query parameter of “llms.txt” to any route to get the markdown/text version of that page (that way it would be easily compatible with pages that are displaying other query results)
@nateberkopec @datadoghq damn...I like that pattern
@nateberkopec @datadoghq Solid pitch.
