If this actually happens, then it's well and truly over.
The plan here is simple: >Pass a repeal of the constitutional amendment setting up a bipartisan redistricting commission literally days before the November election. >Pray this does not result in any sort of backlash in races for the House of Delegates. >If Democrats win in two
@ChristianHeiens Also, this is a ploy for Democratic turn out.
@TruthorConseq12 That's a silly justification. Democrats did not need to do this to juice up turnout. If anything, it arguably hurts them because it activates GOP turnout to save our state from turning into California.
@ChristianHeiens Look at the difference, Democrats are ready move on this like lions at the eleventh hour right before an election. Meanwhile, GOP legislators in Indiana and other states have the President on the phone begging them to do it and they still drag their feet. The decrepit "decency"
@ChristianHeiens Is it possible that this move could be used to turn out the GOP vote in Nov. to at least keep the general assembly split?
@ChristianHeiens If the VRA gets nuked by SC, that would be good right? as long as the GOP isnt as useless as they usually are
@ChristianHeiens There will be a court challenge. No it's not over. That map still favors Republicans.
@ChristianHeiens If this doesn't motivate Republicans in Indiana and Nebraska, then surely nothing will.
@ChristianHeiens Dude, they can't get anything passed in time for 2026.
@ChristianHeiens Over for who?
@ChristianHeiens What is well and truly over?
@ChristianHeiens Turnout is not the question here, they been waiting for the right punch in the face. Either a lawsuit happens or fuck it a state Supreme Court case. Maybe the third is if the ammendment is on the ballot it gets voted no
@ChristianHeiens @Daniel73885 I VOTED FOR THAT!!! πππ
@ChristianHeiens youngkin wonβt sign off on that
@ChristianHeiens Dude stop Dooming Rs havenβt even gotten started with there redistricting yet but it will happen before 2026 this likely wonβt
@ChristianHeiens Well the thing that really matter is how SCOUTUS rules in the VRA case and when they do it. If the gut it and that ruling comes in January, there's basically no path to victory in the House for Dems.
