just realized my vet recommended i put one of my cats on a lower-protein diet back in april but i never did, and now he's drinking a ton of water which is a possible sign that his kidneys are failing. between being gone so often and now this, i feel awful.
i recently got them a nice water fountain and figured the increased intake was just them liking the running water more, but i'm putting two and two together now. got him a vet appointment scheduled. f-tier cat parent.
